I've been having a Stallone Marathon today. Started with Rocky, then Cliffhanger, followed by Cobra. Lined up for later are:

Tango and Cash
Demolition Man
First Blood
Rambo

If anything else, the man deserves respect for keeping the 80's style hard core action movie alive in these pg friendly, twishite, overloaded times.

D-Tox was a good show, and all the normal Sly movies were awesome also. How come when you watch rocky train for his fight you feel like standing, throwing a towel round your neck and shadow box? :D

He should make more movies with Kurt Russell. They were a great double act in Tango And Cash.Maybe in Expendables 3 if it ever happens?

I'm hoping Santa brings me a few Sly DVDs this year. Cop Land being top of the list.

It's a great film with a fantastic performance from Sly.

I agree D-Tox is a pretty decent film. But one of two halves...

The second half reminds me a little of Alien 3!! Stallones performance in the first half is awesome. A good film that some seemed to feel was trendy to kick rather than praise. In fact, I'm gonna go watch it now!!

Ouch. Gotta disagree with ya there Sutty, mate. Much as I worship at the altar of Sylvester, the films he did after COPLAND were pretty weak ('Driven'? 'Spy Kids 3'?! hell, I even sat through 'Shade'!). His comeback was marked by the brilliant ROCKY BALBOA and then of course, followed up by RAMBO 4 and THE EXPENDABLES. You cannot imagine how happy I was when I first saw that teaser trailer for BALBOA and watching it at the cinema... Man, I cried. It was breath-taking. NO ONE can do what this guy does.

Just the other day, I was talking to a friend (who is knows how big a Sly fan I am) and he asked me "What would be the first thing you'd say if you met him?"  Man... I couldn't answer! Truth is I don't know! I'd probably just burst out in tears and hug him. All my life I have been in awe of this man and his achievements. I can (and do) watch the Rocky and Rambo films again and again. In terms of cinematic legacy, probably the only other names that have left such an impression on Snake-Eyes are Bruce Lee, Steven Spielberg and Clint Eastwood. Can't wait for 2012 - TWO new Stallone movies to look forward to!

Felt like i hadnt watched a Rambo film in ages so stuck on Rambo 3 into the player tonight.Man that film is so underated. Its definetly the most spectacular of the series.I remember getting it on guild home video back whe it was released.Little did i know the film had been cut to ribbons(still loved it though). It was quite something to watch the full uncut version when i got the artisan special edition collection of the trilogy back in '02.

Stallone was,and still is..THE MAN!

Anyone seen Daylight? I've never seen that one and heard mixed things.

DAYLIGHT is a good film. 'Disaster' genre with an almost 'Cliffhanger' feel to it. oh and some dude called Viggo Mortensen is in tit also. Check it out Spald!

I couldn't find Daylight the other day when I looked for it. However, there was Lock Up. That wasn't bad at all!

I watched Shade some time ago and I thought it was alright. Being a big fan of Texas Hold 'em helped too but...

Daylight is a decent enough film, if somewhat melodramatic in parts. I remember going to see it on Boxing day when it came out.

Have you seen Avenging Angelo, Snake? What did you think of that??

The man is over 40 years older than me and is in better shape than I'll ever be!

Dude is a total badass and Bullet in the Head will hopefully be awesome,
