I would have added Treasure of the sierre madre, on the waterfront, white heat and angels with dirty faces.

Hehe was just thinking this - gonna work my way through most of the films I haven't seen as they are mostly far better than the gunge Hollywood brings out now.

My favourite film is The Ghost & Mrs Muir (1947), I also love A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), notable for Brando's awesome performance. Great list, I think I have seen a good 75% of those, maybe more.
