First glimpse of David Bradley as Hartnell - http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?p=7655227

And I'm hearing a rumour (which seems quite substantial to some people) that - Reece Shearsmith is playing Patrick Troughton.

Not much of a pic, but maybe the Doctors from this show could appear in Doctor Who as past Doctors.

Assuming Bradley's any cop as the Doctor in this thing, I don't see why he couldn't appear in Doctor Who as well.

That's quite shocking but as it and Russell Howard's Good News are the only two BBC 3 shows I ever watched, I'll go along with it. If I had watched the channel often, I may have a different opinion.

They'd also better make sure the show appears on TV first - otherwise it'd be, IMO, quite rude.

Seems to me that it's a simulcast thing: normal version on BBC1, 3D version on BBC HD, with possible 3D cinema screenings for people without the requisite tellies.

OH LOOK THE TARDIS IS FLYING OUT OF THE SCREEN.

I like the fact there is going to be a proper anniversary episode though.

Ditto. Let's just hope the BBC and Moffat decide, for once, to keep their mouths entirely shut about what's going to be in it.

Oh God, the incessant deluge of the crap gimmick that is 3D gets ever closer...

I've avoided it at the cinema but now it is flooding onto our TV screens? Despite the fact that, lets face it, almost NOBODY any of us know owns a 3D TV?

I just hope that it's not going to be some kind of 'exclusive' that you can get in advance of, you know, the usual viewers who have made the show the hit that it is and might not have access to stupidly expensive TV's that will be out of date well before next Christmas.

Christ, I hate 3D...

I'm not a fan of 3D either but we don't have to watch it, it's there for those who do want to.

In fact, I don't watch live TV so I can't watch it

I think it's more making sure that there's no advance showing for that idiotic system. Darth is probably right, but if they're foolish enough to go for a fad on its way out, there's no guarantee some bright spark won't come up with another dumb idea.

Yeah, there'll be a 2D version on BBC One for sure, which is why they are advertising the 3D version being on the HD channel. As I don't have BBC HD, I can't watch it even if I wanted to

If it helps, I know at least 3 households with 3D TVs.

No, I mean timing. First viewing - BBC1. It can simulcast elsewhere if they want - but first viewing where it should be.

Why can't it simulcast on all three?

That's what I mean - simulcast all they want. But the first time it's shown it has to be there on normal BBC1, at that time.

I'm confused as to where this conversation is going, I won't lie. It is being shown on BBC1 at the same time and I don't believe I said otherwise
