Trust me. If it has been on Five US or Live, it will pop up on five in the not-too-distant future.

Regular readers will have noticed that the thread has a new name. This is so people know where to go to talk about the movies on TV instead of starting new threads up, only for them to be locked by the mods.

So those who want to talk about the films that are just starting on TV, or about any of the movies being shown this week (a complete listing of all Freeview channels is on page one, and gets changed every Friday), then this is the place to do it.

So instead of wasting precious thread space that could be used on other things...do it here. I know some of you like opening up new threads so you can have your name up on screen, but you'll only annoy the mods, and they have enough to do as it is.

Wow I cannot believe they are showing 3 of the best films this week at the same time tomorrow!!

THE BIRDS 10pm ITV3 *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*

THE WILD BUNCH 10.20pm ITV4 *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*

THE HUSTLER 10.50pm Film4 *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*

To top that off, Kelly's Heroes is on TCM at 9pm and it overlaps with them all!!
That is very cruel. Should be a big dilemma for me when the time comes.

Have no fear. Kelly's Heroes is being screened on ITV4 next week. Look out for the new listings tomorrow for more details.

As for the others...what can I say. I'm sure they will be re-screened soon.

I get the listings a week in advance (hence the listing for a week Saturday and that following week I already have). Occasionally there are late changes which are beyond my control.

I try to check up but obviously once in a while one slips through the net. I have that Carrie is being shown next week, but if that is the case, then I apologise.

man, I am LOVING all the Studio Ghibli on channel 4 in the mornings this week! Watched Kiki's Delivry Service this moring which I haven't seen in a long time, and realized The Cat Returns, Laputa and My Neighbour Totoro are on over the next couple of days too.

I usually never check whats on tv in the mornings either (well, I'm never up to be honest ), so thanks.

A strange time to put them on, but hey, it's good half term entertainment.

Shame there isn't one on tomorrow morning, but we have to put up with The Brave Little Toaster...

Damn, Friday is always clearly the best day for films, specifically at night. Its primetime for films but its a huge shame as its the only time of the week I will definately have plans! I would love for them to be spread out through the week more evenly.

I mean, Last of the Mohicans, Pitch Black, Eddie Murphy: Raw, Shadow of the Vampire, Deep Hunter.... All on within a 3 hour period from 9-12 on Friday! For me there all worth a watch too

Trust me, unless you like sickly sweet, sentimentality, you are not missing much.

And as Channel 4 are showing it, it most certainly end up on Film4 eventually.

Yeah, I know it's not got a great reputation but I like Vincent Ward (especially Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey which is way overdue a DVD release) and it looks like it should be worth a look just for the visuals.

With the current investigations that ITV are conducting on their premium rate phone-ins, they have temporarily pulled the output of ITV Play from the schedules. So tonight's edition of Glitterball is being replaced by:

THE EIGER SANCTION 12midnight ITV1
Clint Eastwood stars and directs this silly yet impressive espionage thriller with the great man as a hitman for a secret agency who want him to track down and kill an unknown assailant. But he must join a team climbing the Eiger to do so. The scenes on the mountain are well filmed and quite exciting, while the first half involves Clint running lots, being threatened and being looked after by a large chested Asian girl. Every schoolboy's dream. Fine for what it is, but not classic Clint by a long shot.

If the scheduling continues like this, I will ensure that you are kept up to date (as much as possible).

Tonight's replacement for ITV1's game show is the 1986 comedy Legal Eagles, with Robert Redford and Debra Winger. The film starts at midnight.
