Day of the Dead this week is not the George A. Romero 1985 movie, but the new 2008 remake directed by Steve Miner and starring Mena Suvari and Ving Rhames, thats quite early for channels like ITV4 to be showing new movies like that, but then again it was a flop and Film4 had shown Diary of the Dead a few months back.

So sorry for the very late listing this week. A change of internet provider slowed things down, so the listing goes from Sunday til Friday this week. Hopefully normal service will resume next week.

Enjoy!

For a bank holiday weekend, it's not the most exciting movie listing (everyone is out at the countless festivals or watching The Hurt Locker).

New listing is up on Page one

Enjoy!

Just a note to say that Channel 4 are also re-showing their Red riding trilogy this weekend. The first part is tonight at I think 10pm, with the other 2 on tomorrow and monday at the same time.

A week where Patrick Swazye is the star, with most of the channels showing his movies. Meanwhile, Ang Lee's 70s drama gets a late night screening and is this week's top film.

New listing is on page one.

Enjoy!

Surf's up. Kenau Reeves plays a FBI agent who is sent to infiltrate a surfing gang, led by Patrick Swayze, who maybe responsible for a string of bank robberies. Kathryn Bigalow does a great job with the action, in this terrifically enjoyable thriller, and even the two leads give decent performances. This is tough, unstoppable stuff, and other action directors should take note on how to do it.
One of the worst films I've ever seen.

Yes, it's back. After accidentally deleting last week's list and not having the time to redo it, those who missed it will be glad to know it is back this week. (Sorry about that)

Not the greatest batch of movies but the film of the week is a classic cop thriller from the 70s (really the ONLY cop thriller of the 70s).

Up and running on page one.

Enjoy!

Does anyone know whether Film 4 is showing Grave of the Fireflies dubbed or subbed?

Normally their Ghibli stuff is dubbed. The exception I think was the little norse prince. Not that I think it matters, although I know some on here disagree completely.
