The new listing is up and running on page one (Sorry for the font problems, but I will sort that out for next week)

Enjoy!

Now that I'm back from my summer vacation (won't be much longer till I'm back there again), next week's listings will be slightly different, making it more complete, but that's in a week's time.

Until then, the new listing is on page one.

Enjoy!

SO annoyed. BBC2 were meant to be showing the Magnificent Ambersons now, but it's been shunted for the paralympics. Disgraceful. No announcement, no anything.

Well you should know by now that sports always comes before anything else, and even though it's great that the BBC are giving the Paraolympics the coverage it deserves, they should give out fair warning before hand. Never fear, I am sure that The Magnificent Ambersons will re-appear after the Paraolympics are over.

I just watched A Perfect World on TV yesterday for the first time and I thought it was a very good film. Kevin Costner was excellent in his role and even though Eastwood only had a small role it was still memorable to me. I thought the film was very original and it is another example of how good a director Clint is.

8.5/10

Judgement Night is on tonight, what a little gem of a movie.  Denis Leary is fantastic.  Also it's interesting to see a pre-toupée Jeremy Piven.

I would agree with you. One of those films that deserves a much bigger audience

I remember stumbling across it some years ago now, I was instantly sucked into the atmosphere, my adrenalin was pumping and I was genuinely on the edge of my seat.

Wrenster i feel i have to point out how wrong you are about The Dead Zone. I'm amazed it's described as a horror, as i think i felt more apprehension and tension walking to college this mrning than what i experinced during the shockingly bland and dull film that Walken had the idiocy to star in.

Ok i'm being possibly overly harsh, but tbh it was rubbish.

You were spot on with Oldboy though :)

Isn't that the great thing about movies? Some you like, some you hate. I've liked this film since I saw it in 1983 (not showing my age) and after reading a handful of King's book, it was one of the best adaptations. Maybe it has lost its grip since it's release as most horrors have (with all the blood and guts and gore which is about) but I still have a fondness for it.

And if you love horrors, you are going to be in for a treat next week...nothing but horror all week! (Especially Saturday and Sunday)

Second Hand Lions a popular film but didn't click with me.  Couldn't accept Michael Caine as an American and the direction seemed a bit forced 5/10.
The Molly Maguires good performances from Richard Harris and Sean Connery, a bit slow in places but quality overall.  Nice soundtrack.  7/10

Crash I found this film to be artificial and the characters not believable.
