My family have always called me Loops (used to be Loopy Loo but it got shortened over the years), in fact I think my father may have forgotten my actual name.

My brother also has a tendency to call me Bubba.

My best friend calls me Wyn, Wyns, Wynnie, Wynnie Peg. A few of my other friends also call me Wynnie.

My nickname is my username, my uncle came up with it when I was little cause I get freckles in a band across my nose and under my eyes, I still do but not to the extent I did. He merged my real name, Steph and freckles to come up with steffols, it was the only way I could think of spelling it.  He still calls me it as well.

My nickname at school was Drysdale, this being my second name, or it would be shorterned to Dryssy, which I hate more than anyone can imagine.  My best friends more or less call me Steph now, I still get 'full-named' by my family, and people who are intend on pissing me off.

People from this esteemed forum like to call my Steffy/ie, or Steff, which is close enough to my real name so I dont mind

Well, I suppose my actual is technically a nickname, given that it's a shortening of what I'm named as on my birth certificate.

Other than that...

Baby Puppy (by my Mum, it's from the film Cats and Dogs)
KooSoo (again, by my parents, it's the name of an island near Singapore that we went to when I was a year old, quite how it relates to me I don't know, except it starts with the same letter as my first name)
Fat Kid (by my best friend, I call her the same back)
Kat Flem (I well remember the day someone at school realised they could get that nickname by shortening parts of my name... )
Bendy (by my flatmate, but his nickname is Pukey, so I think I'm doing better there)
Pinky (by various people at Uni, it's not really a proper nickname but I do answer to it)
Frankie (by the friend I went around Australia with)
Chavette/Club Skank/Pikey (by another flatmate)

I don't know, petal, do you want know?

It's a shortening of bender. He was just trying to come up with something to get me back for managing to get everyone to start calling him Pukey. He failed miserably, but he's still calling me it, in a vague attempt to get it to catch on.

Thought it may have been because of your part time job as a contortionist, but obviously I was wrong.  Again

I have a few, depending upon the social group i am in at the time

Rhubarb comes from my girlfriend
Sick Boy is what my uni mates call for a combination of me always having a hangover, and my knowledge of James Bond films
Rob One comes from the fact that my best friend shares my christian name, so we are referred to as One and Two when we are together. We are often referred to in Surname in that situation as well
Shandy is what my old school friends have called me for a long time. It stems from an episode where i got very drunk and got banned from drinking anything but shandy for awhile by my parents.

Which was why I was wondering about how you got the name Bendy!?

Thought I'd been given some odd ones in my time, but at least they all make sense.  Kinda.

Mine do make sense. Well, okay, they don't make much logical sense, but there is some kind of a reason behind them all. Promise.

The strangest one I know is a friend of mine that has been called Rita for years.  No-one can actually remember what HIS real name is, or how he got the nickname.  Apparently even in work they all call him Rita now after a night out with some of his other friends.

I think it had something to do with the cat in Animaniacs!

the one my family use id Fudz, my dad came up with it when i was a toddler i was really into beatrix potter. a bit of wordplay and i became known as Fudz. i also get called Flos, and Flo.
At school my friends called me:
Fi
The Fonz (i had a habit of going "Aay" randomly)
Alex (dont ask)
Jeremy (as above)
the only one that stuck was Fi. and i dont really like being called that anyway!

Smila is a friend's nickname for me (After Smila's Sense Of Snow).  I also got called Leni (by a schoolmate) and Caroline (by a mate - not my name!).

Most people call me by my real name though.  All three syllables

My nickname at school was JR. There's a story behind that but I'm not telling it. I still see my old maths teacher occasionally and he still calls me it (probably no longer remembers my real name ).

My math teacher called me Danielle for the longest time until my little brother had him as a teacher and corrected him.

my best friend insists on calling me ila-chan despite the fact i'm too old for the Japanese little girls diminutive suffix.
i also get called Ruri cause of the colour of my eyes.
my sis calls me either i (as in eye) or lala - most likely to annoy me! i mostly give nicnames out though never very nice ones! i call my sis 'jojo the hobo stinks like a wino'. long winded maybe but very apt!
oh, and my otosan calls me 'neko zuki' cause i'm so obsessed with cats and Fruits Basket!

My name is diana, so there's quite a few obvious ones:

Di (I like people to call me this it's the easiest)
Lady Di (for when I am feeling posh)
DJ Bright (combination of surnames and first name, quite funny, although the person who made it up insists on calling me it all the time which can grate)
Dirty Diana (Fuck you very much Michael Jackson)

Pettsy, or pettsage, it's a surname thing.  I was also called Mary-Jane or MJ when the first Spider-Man movie came out, as I had red hair at the time.

My entire group of friends back in Somerset call me Mutley, Mutts, Mutts Nuts.....anything along that line.  My best friend gave me the name way back in our first year of college as he said I was a dog, and it's just stuck.  I always get introduced to new people as Mutley so some people don't even know my real name.  Even my friends parents call me it!!!

My nickname at school was Ched which derives from my surname which is Remmer...which sounds a bit like Rimmer so I was called Rimmer for a while, then my mates Dad called me Rim-Cheese when all my mates were there!  So that stuck for a while but was then changed to Cheddar and then finally Ched...which is quite a long way round to getting a nickname

My nickname at the moment is Captain Orange Chop as I have a slightly ginger beard!

I used to get called Dennis by most people, though sadly it's died out now. Started when I played a very strange girl called Dennis in a play, and for some reason everybody in it started calling me by that name all the time. I think I was the only one who got called by my character both in and out of rehearsals  It spread to most people, but nobody uses it any more

My dad used to call me Mrs Lamb when I was younger, sometimes shortened to just Lamb. I think my brother was Mr Man.

Not too many nicknames. Always wanted one that would stick, but they never seem to do.

In Junior School, I was called Bossy Boots. For unknown reasons...  My first name brings out the usual : Jessie / J / Jessie-James / Icka (only one annoying person called me that. They cease to exist now.) My brother calls me Button. But most people just call me Jess now. Kind of boring.
