While looking for a pick me up I was reminded that somehow I'd missed this particular piece of sugar rushed adrenaline fueled tale. Well I still don’t know if I liked it or not, I turned my brain off at the door and frankly I don’t think that was enough, I may have had to of been in a coma, the story was thin, the plot a mish mash of MI2 and commando, and the stunts well past their sell buy date, the plane crash and the bomb/crane/leap/swipe feat was a bit too off the wall, anyhow there's still enough to keep you somewhat interested, my advice if you have 90mins to spare turn up the sound and lower your expectations!

A good action film doesn't have to be completely ridiculous. This is.

Absolutely brilliant stuff!! A great retro-action flick for Friday night harking back to the 80s, in other words minimal plot, average acting & a fistful of action. Wonderfully OTT (the bomb removal from car scene is ludicrously brilliant!) & has some of the best fight scenes in a yank movie, especially the one set in the garage. When the yanks try to do kung fu they invariably fail, they have a lack of inventiveness & don't seem to be able to edit the fight scenes with any competence. The action usually end up a mess of cut, cut, cut, & you can't tell what's going on. But Transporter 2 excels in this department with Jason Statham kicking arse in spectacular fashion! Forget plausibility & enjoy the ride!
Roll on Transporter 3!!!!!!!!!!!!

Transporter 2 flunks gravity, logic and sense with happy, spastic confidence. All of which makes for a bad movie that's impossible to hate as Statham batters hordes of inept gunmen, effortlessly dodges bullets and pulls off ludicrous stunts involving everything from Audis to jet-ski. You'll laugh till your ribs shatter.

Truly awful film, and I didn't mind the first one either. 3 stars Chris? Oh dear.

The part where he knocks a bomb off the bottom of his car on a crane by driving up a ramp speaks for itself

Absolutely fantastic! It does exactly what it says on the tin and hold no protensions what-so-ever. It realy does my swede in when people think themselves so cultured that they can call the Hong kong action films of the 70's and the like high art and yet this, which is exactly the same kind of beast but in a western cut of suit, can be panned as something lesser in quality. I say bollocks! Statham has just as much if not more charm and charisma than Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee. A very entertaining movie, in my book. And THAT is it's only job, which it pulls off with aplomb.

A stylish and more focused sequel to The Transporter, the movie is over-the-top fun for fans of the first movie.
