But like I said the benefit of Nolan and Team being involved in this film could prove the Films and Snyders career as his (imo) main successful breakthrough.

But sooner or later that excuse for Snyder is going to wear-thin.

I'm indifferent to his visual style.There were some nice visuals in Watchmen,300 and Dawn Of The Dead but generally I find his visual-palette to be heavy and very showy,which tends to be to the detriment of the film as a whole.
And the slow-mo,I know its a signature-style on his part but he really needs to either tone it down or get rid ie theres a slow-mo moment on the Comic Con trailer and I sighed when I saw it.

I think the Williams score is as much part of Supes as the \S/. Without it, any Superman movie is always going to be underwhelming in comparison...
The more I see of this reboot the more similar it looks to both Superman II and Superman returns. I guess i am the only one who is worried that having Nolan involved in any way is a bad thing, and likely to lead to a Batman style bore fest. I would rather it was more like 300 than Batman Begins

Just found this over on Latino Review. They're just toy ads that are due in the spring but they reveal a couple of interesting plot points as well as giving us a (kinda) look at who I am assuming is General Zod.

Considering how great Zimmer's Thin Red Line piece worked with the Comic Con trailer I think he could just pull together a greatest hits style combo of most of his bigger works and it would be suitable. I doubt he'll manage anything as instantly iconic as Williams' score but as the Nolan Batman trilogy has proven he's still got some great moves (yes I know the score on BB and TDK was a collaboration but the more action themed pieces were definitely Zimmer's).

I'd like to think that Superman is worthy of more than a throw together of Zimmers greatest hits. Was it Zimmer who did the theme music for the first season of The Contender? That was a hell of a piece of music, really got the ol' juices flowing. Maybe something of that ilk would be good? But I do agree that finding something so iconic as the original John Williams theme will be nigh on impossible.

And am I right in thinking that the first five bars/notes of the Superman main theme is the five note greeting from Close Encounters of the Third Kind re-ordered? I'm sure it is...

Having just seen the Iron Man 3 teaser, and it's amazing looking plane rescue, the gauntlet is well and truely down for Man of Steel to deliver in it's aerial sequences.

Not quite. It’s always been popular belief that WB would attach the MoS theatrical trailer to The Hobbit. Frankly, I’d be shocked if we get anything before that.

Well the official trailers show a Superman flying through sound barrier with Head at perfect 90 degree angle!! thats one super neck for a start!!...or just really shit CGi

Hopefully not too long now. Have tickets booked for the Hobbit in IMAX on Dec 14th, so seriously hoping it’s attached to that!



Fair enough!. Are you expecting a brand new trailer or a rehash of the Comic Con trailer?. I can decide whether to go see The Hobbit, i think its one for DVD . as much as loved the Rings Trilogy nothing about this Hobbit movie excites me.
