They wish! after last weeks debacle against Brum even our Stevie G-less team should wipe the floor with them!

Were i to be Liverpool manager, I should expect I'd field this side today:

                   Carson
Kromkamp ~ Agger ~ Hyypia ~ Riise
Finnan ~ Hamman ~ Alonso ~ Kewel
         Morientes ~ Crouch

I'd leave Stevie G and Carra on the bench, just in case. Finnan used to be a winger so I'd stick him on the right and give Kromkamp his full debut. I'd also hand Agger his full debut and recall Hamman. Both had a great game against Wolves reserves (Hamman scored from t'halfway line).

Well, that wasn't the best Liverpool performance ever, it has to be said. Although the result was there and at least we don't have to worry about a replay.

We were poor last night, and it was a poor game, but we won so that's good news.

I thought Kromkamp played ok but needs to cut out the I just been shot by a sniper

Eeeeeeeek, United in the 5th round of the FA Cup!

I for one am not excited at all by this prospect. Firstly, they beat us a week ago with a vastly understrength team and secondly it's the FA Cup and United always do well in that. Sure it's at Anfield, but United still have this annoying knack of upping their game when it counts.

This could go either way.

Ahhh but the last Utd/Pool game it seemed neither team wanted to win it until the very end. Now with Utd getting the first win and the whole business with Neville I imagine Liverpool will up their game for this.

If United score will the Chuckle brother run the full length of the pitch to celebrate infront of the Kop?
Will he do that silly mid-air humping thing?
Will he find his badge first time?
Time will tell.

Listen to the draw at work and once Everton/Chelsea got Colchester I said we would get Man Utd.

I am quite happy with the draw I feel like it's last year when we did not beat Chelsea in the League then beat them in the Champions League, I feel it will happen again this time against Man Utd in the F.A. Cup. (Wonder if Gary Neville will suddenly get a injury 2 days before the game and can't play.

I beg to differ...we completely outplayed them & controlled the game on their own turf. Cant wait for revenge!

Indeed you did outplay them and control the game but you didn't look like you wanted to win it. It seemed very timid when you see Liverpool play other teams.

The Liverpool v Man Utd Cup game has been schedule for Saturday 18th 12.30pm kick off. So that means that will be shown on the BBC.

Because we got Champions League the following midweek away on Tuesday to Benfica (of course Man Utd would not have this problem )

1.1, Birmingham are the new Leicester. I wish they'd just bog off.
P.S. I hate Uriah Rennie.

We have become a bit of a bogey team for Liverpool haven't we. Apart from our second season when you beat us comfortably twice (Gerrard giving about the best performance I have ever seen by a footballer, bar Henry, at St. Andrews) I think the record for us is played 8 won 2 drawn 4 lost 2. Pretty good aganst a team of Liverpool's quality for us.

I'm so gutted for Robbie! Bloody jobsworth linesman, why didn't he just choose to not see that offside? Oh well, at least we made some ground on manure. 3 points behind with 2 games in hand. Could be worse.

I enjoyed seeing all the other results coming in last night... after I'd realised we'd only drawn.
I think last night helped to just rubber stamp the title a little bit more.

I'd love to see Spurs or Wigan to finish 4th!

You're not the only one!

But you forgot Bolton. They're on level points with Arsenal and they have a game in hand. Arsenal have a game in hand over Wigan and Spurs, and Wiagn are only a point ahead of Arsenal. Spurs are 4 points clear though. Wouldn't it be great if Arsenal finish 7th!

Yep, I wouldn't mind Bolton either... but I'd prefer Spurs out of all of them - for obvious reasons!

Alas, we're (Spurs) in a bit of a dodgy patch at the moment, I'm having nightmares about Raziak playing anymore games.  As much as I was pissed off Tuesday night, there's nothing like 24 hrs to bring a smile to my face!

I knew we would struggle against Birmingham we always seem to. We do need our strikers to start scoring some goals if we are to get 2nd position. The midfield can't always be scoring.

At least the other results went the right way for us last night

Bit of a blow that result really, but you just knew it was gonna happen, the roar when robbie came on was amazing, shame about that offside though, just Chelsea next then.

I'm not going to be optimistic this time. I made that mistake before the 4-1 drubbing at Anfield. No, I'm fully expecting us to get beat on Sunday. I'll be happy with a good performance but anything more than that will be a bonus. I'm just hoping we win our two games in hand (if we ever actually get round to playing them that it is) and get back ahead of Manure.
