Johnny Deep at The pirates of the caribbean is a big mouth clown.

Breaking bad is probably the best show ever after Twin Peaks.

James Cameron has only a really good movie and of course it is not Titanic.

Back to the Future is the best trilogy ever...I thought in Indiana Jones but now..Thanks to Spielberg and his friend Lucas it is not a trilogy anymore

The Fight Club is the best performance of Brad Pitt.

Donnie Darko is the craziest movie ever just follow by Requiem for a Dream.

Actually, Psicosis it is not really scary... I prefer The Gremlins!

Steve Mcqueen still being the coolest actor and celebrity.

The Rear Window...a tribute to the voyeurism

X-Men origins: Wolverine is a much better film than The Wolverine which i had the misfortune to sit through last night and may well be the worst Marvel film i have seen

It's not really a 'Marvel' film though, like Thor, Iron Man etc are. It's a 20th Century Fox franchise, and so in that respect it makes perfect sense why it would be crap. Incidentally I've not seen The Wolverine, but I find it very hard to believe it could be worse than the putrid X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Neither of them are particularly great, but they're not completely horrible either. The Wolverine is a little better than Origins.

I quite enjoyed the wolverine. Not seen origins though.
The Wolverine was a pretty enjoyable flick IMO. I would rank it good, but not great.

The Wolverine is a strange mix of brilliant and awful.

It really kind of is, yes. I saw the extended cut which is more R rated but even though Wolverine says 'fuck' three times instead of just one and there is many a blood spurt, it has some moments that are just plain shit.

Yup. Same here. And I agree it had some poor moments, but all in all It was a good movie IMO.

Some people have really hated on it.

I loved the way they developed Logan's character. I hated the plot they used to develop it. This is the year of Superhero movies which make something great and horrible at the same time, this and Man of Steel prove it.

Well I loved MOS so not in the best place to comment on that.

The main thing that let Wolverine down was the lull before and then the final act. Also...

**** SPOILER *****

How is he going to get his adamantium claws back? Bone ones dont seem tough enough.

My opinion on District 9 changed as some of you might know into thinking it's actually a very good close to excellent sci-fi.

I think Elysium is in some occasions and up there with Fast 6 and Pacific Rim as best blockbusters of the year.

Cant argue with any of this, except that D9 is better than good.

SPOILERS FOR THE WOLVERINE AND SPECULATION FOR FUTURE FILMS.

Firstly, I really enjoyed the Wolverine. I thought it could have been a little better but it was a solid entry and was a huge improvement on XMO and followed up well from X3. In terms of his claws, I was dissapointed you cant see the "nubs" of them near the knuckles where they were chopped off.

It was a really bold move, but like you said they dont look strong enough (surely enough, XMO shows they arent). Im sure one of the promos for days of future past shows him with adamantium claws again - so he most likely gains them when he is sent back to the past. DOFP will then start a new continuity I guess, with pretty much all the xmen films 1,2,3 and the wolverine being written out of existence. This way, Logans conscious has no future to return to, so he stays in the past, with adamantium claws. Maybe to meet Jean Grey again? Give it a second chance? Was all that bullshit?

I think Singer has said that with regard to DOFP the new timeline and the changes that Logan's time travel causes won't take effect until his consciousness returns to his body in the present/future. We know he goes back to the 70s, so in the X timeline is that before or after Stryker has got at him?

^ I would imagine after Stryker has had his way and given him the claws. I cant see them wanting to fuss about and bother with Origins continuity.

Yeah i thought The Wolverine was really good too. Not perfect by any means but the story was interesting and it kept me hooked. Definitely a step in the right direction. Need to check out the extended cut next.

I really enjoyed The Wolverine. We seem to be getting closer to the character each time. Hopefully DOFP will give us Wolvie fans the satisfaction we crave.

Just been reading the ongoing debate in this thread about Man of Steel and wanted to briefly share my thoughts. I did think that the Superman we all know and love from the comics and original movies would've gone out of his way to ensure that the casualty rate was as low as could be in that final battle. I do think that the destruction that he caused and loss of life resultant from that battle is glossed over and I understand people being upset with him killing Zod when Superman should be above that. However, one point I think has been overlooked is that this was a Superman origin story. When he fights Zod, it's pretty much his first time in action as Superman, What I took from this is that he is still learning how to be Superman and just what the extent of his powers are (Note, it isn't until he dins the suit that he flies for the first time). As such I took it that in the follow on films we will see him being more like the Superman we all know and love. It's worth remembering that in Superman 2, he's an established Supes and has been for a long time. In Man of Steel I think that battle and his execution of Zod is where he is still figuring out how powerful he is and all of a sudden he's pushed into this extreme situation and facing the man responsible for his orphaning. As a fledgling Superhero, he's still hasn't got a cap on his rage and that is evident at the end with his reaction to killing Zod. My point being, he still hasn't learnt the weight of the responsibility or the severity of the consequences that can come with such powers and that hopefully in Batman Vs Superman, we will have a more familiar, responsible and mature Superman. As for Metropolis's seemingly miracle repair job at the end, when Clark arrives at the Daily Planet. I took this to be set some time after the main events of the film. After all, Clark would have to go and study and qualify to be a journalist and most likely have to intern at a smaller paper first to get experience; all of which takes time, like more than a few years worth of time.

Or I maybe completely wrong and read way too much into an action movie. I did enjoy it though.

Dammit. Now I wish that was the film I had chosen for the Hall of Fame. It has the right amount of pathos at the end for the win...

I really enjoyed. Not a classic but I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Love the chemistry between the leads. No need for a sequel though, can't see where they can go with it.

I didn't mind too much, I enjoyed the use of modern music. I could have done without the Nike product placement

The Lone Ranger is really one of the movies of the year and so much fun. The final action scene coupled with the music is the most fun I've had at the cinema since, well since Battleship i guess.

I agree that the final set piece was great. Particularly with that music, it put a smile on my face.

Other than that, I thought the rest of the film was a total bland mess.
