So Deviation, what did you think of GI Joe Rise of the Cobra?

Still haven't seen it, but it looks like the fun the Bayformers promised to be. The sequel has Tatum, The Rock, Willis, RZA and the awesomeness of Byun Hun-Lee, ergo it cannot in any way be awful.

Oh no wait, they gave it to the guy whose previous work are Step-Up and the Justin Bieber doc.

I'm not overly keen on Hans Zimmer. I find his work unpleasantly distracting most of the time, although his work on Gladiator was excellent.

Even this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imamcajBEJs

Especially not that to be honest, his work just distracts me in the sense that he too often dominates scenes as opposed to just adding to them.

There Will Be Blood is dull. Pretty, but dull.

I'm kind of with you. Kind of. The cinematography is beautiful and Day Lewis is excellent, but I wasn't bowled over by it story-wise; I never felt particularly involved. I've been trying to reserve full judgement until I see it for a second time because I feel there must be something I missed.

I think it improves with every viewing, although in fairness I loved it the first time I saw it too.

Perhaps she has only seen him in Super Mario Bros., Space Truckers and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2?

Agreed. Personally, I don't think she likes any film made after 1960, judging by her previous appearences....

I've decided Goodfellas isn't actually that great. I always thought it was one of my favorite movies . I haven't watched it in a good 5 years! and thought id watch it while it was Lovefilm HD. It realised that while there is some great performances, the story isn't even that great and not a lot actually happens. The only decent character development you see is Henry's and that's not that interesting.

Whats changed!! whats wrong with me! I used to love it! What do you guys think?.

Thankfully I haven't changed my mind about Godfather however, watched that again in HD this week, God its glorious.

Jessica Chastain wasn't that great in Zero Dark Thirty and was much better in her supporting roles.

Zero Dark Thirty is a solid film at best, and absolutely nothing more than that. Chastain was decent but did nothing to deserve to win an award for it.

INLAND EMPIRE is the best film of the 2000's.

Your close Mulholland Drive is

ZDT has not even been released here yet, how have you people seen it?

Think Hathaway was a little unlucky not to get nominated for Cat Woman.

I think so, too, not for any fault with her amazing performance in Les Mis, but because she had so little screentime.

I'm not interested in James Bond one bit,but I wouldn't say he was overrated.

Nope,Clockwork Orange is a great,disturbing film.

The Lord Of The Rings films were greatly enjoyable.Arguably one of greatest trilogys to date.

Yes,Titanic was indeed Bobbins.

Anchorman (or any Farrel film imo) isn't really much. Not my type of humor, though Steve Carell is likable.

Bond is overrated in a way, but in a another way not as I think most of its core fan base see it as a bit of trashy entertainment almost like a guilty pleasure.

ClockWork Orange is wonderful.

Am a fan of the Ring trilogys either.

Not seen Titanic.

Anchorman is like a collection of skits, some work better than others, but it never really feels like a whole film.

Not so much an opinion, more of a fact but interested to know if I'm alone in it...

I get more out of foreign language films than I do English ones. By having to read subtitles I'm actively staying more focussed knowing that if i look away I will miss potentially important dialogue. They naturally just force me to engage more.

I actually liked the twilight films.

i think the rock is a terrible actor.

indie films are great.

michael bay is awful.

cheezy movies are fun.

music makes a scene.

despite the fact that i'm canadian i think the UK has better television programming than canada or the US.

i have zero interest in reading 50 shades of gray.

sean penn is an underated director.

i'm really tired hearing about zero dark thirty and jessica chastaine.

i'm only going to watch the oscars because jennifer lawrence is nominated.

Paths of Glory says everything that The Thin Red Line has to say but wraps it up in a tight 83 minutes. It's funny as well - Nick Nolte is not near enough as bonkers as George MacReady!

Anyway, at least TTRL is not The Deer Hunter...

The Thin Red Line is Malick's best film, and is better than Saving Private Ryan.
