 It also sounds weak. In a song called Ironic, you can accept the lack of irony during the IT'S LIKE RA-YE-AIN ON YOUR WEDDING DAY BIT.  But if you called it Unfortunate then that chorus would just feel like a sadsack whining at you at the bus-stop.

I prefer Predators to Predator 2.

Although it doesn't contain any fucking voodoo magic man, it also doesn't contain Bill Paxton.

Did I imagine this or was the shot in the trailer with Adrien Brody standing with his hands in the air, with loads of predator lazer beams aimed at his chest, different in the final film? I could have sworn there were fewer in the film itself

Nope,the original is just as good.
The visuals on the invisibility cloak on the Predator still stands up well today.

Plus Brodys rough put-on voice was getting abit silly throughout the course of the film.

I'm still unsure rether I like Predator 2 or not.It certainly has its moments,but visually I think it has dated poorly.

Trying to hard to being exactly the same,imo.
I felt it was rather lazy for the film makers to not create a world that was distinct from our own.
Other than a frankly poor visual CGI scene involving a convoluted skyline the viewer wouldn't have thought otherwise.

Concerning Predator,watching it again,it really is a classic.The acting is surprisingly very good,considering.

The first is my favourite,with the second being my second favourite.
I would class AVP over Predators,mainly on the basis that it offers something abit different.

I dont know, the original has some of those classic Arnie lines. Plus, Sharon Stone is way hot, though the new one has kate beckinsale AND the other one.

 Listening to Kermode & Mayo yesterday interviewing Toby Jones The Brown Noseing got so awfull had to turn off, he was in talking about his Tv film? about Alfred Hitchcock which from reviews I've heard so far is pretty average to hear them you'd think it was the best thing ever rather than a Hatchet Job from a one sided source on this Countrys finest & possibly the Worlds? Director whose not around anymore to defend himself.

Yep,Kermode and Mayo certainly have there favourites,irrespective of how one performs/directs.
Martin Sheen,Jason Isaacs and Toby Jones to name but a few seem to come under this circumstance.

there should not a 2d version of a movie filmed specifically in 3d.
the format must stand on its own and be as high quality as 3d can get.
no more hedging of bets by studios with a 2d version.

But the majority of people are going to be watching it in 2D when it's released on DVD/Blu-ray anyway, so there may as well just be a 2D version in cinemas along with it. I also like to have the choice between the two formats.

There should be no 3D versions of ANY film.Its just a pointless money making gimmick that adds nothing to the movie going experience other than eye strain and more expense for cinema goers.
