I agree about Gosling,he raises the level of every film he's ever been in.It's probably not unpopular to say that. Best actor around at the moment. He's getting the 50 shades of grey gig too.

And just on the Artist,i do like French cinema, but I couldn't take to it.It seemed like an undercover American French movie.Yes I can see why others liked it,but it wasn't for me.

I wasn't suggesting the 'Gosling Effect' was an unpopular opinion, just adding to the Gosling discussion.

I think that what's even more impressive than Gosling's performances is the overall standard of the films he's in demonstrating a keen eye for the potential in scripts.

Blue Valentine is his best performance and shares the best film accolade with Drive.

He was stunningly good in Blue Valentine, he and Michelle Williams had such amazing chemistry.

The Empire Strikes Back is not the best film of the series.

While it makes a good fist of being self-contained, it suffers a little from 'middle-film syndrome'.

This makes me a sad panda.

Wait, is Gosling seriously going to be in the 50 Shades Of Grey movie?

Also, not really an unpopular opinion as such, but I watched a Tale Of Two Sisters tonight, and I don't know if it's because I was slightly tired or something, but it completely mind raped me.

The trailer for The Dark Knight Rises makes it look terrible.

The Forgotten is a greatly underrated supernatural thriller.

If The Dark Knight 2 turns out to be a stinker, it'll be amusing to see the reaction of those who are already taking every opportunity to place it amongst the greats.

It's amusing seeing fans of The Dark Knight responding to criticism that didn't reach their ears at the time.

Now we are a few years out from it Squid - did you actually see the film that early before release or were you just trolling?

That bit freaked me out, also the woman crawling behind the sofa in the bedroom. I was more referring to the fact that in the last 20 minutes or so I had no idea what was happening lol. After reflecting on it it's fine now but It definitely needs a re-watch. It was a good film, but I wasn't totally taken by it like I expected to be.

Is not! Well, maybe just a little

I just think AvP is a lot more honest in what it is whereas Prometheus is an uninteresting, overblown and hugely expensive mess, that is completely lacking in ideas.
