Yeah, I've just checked their gallery - avoid like the plague!  I wouldn't even trust them to do script.  There's a fantastic shop in Colchester called Cosmic Tattoo, run by a guy called Leigh Oldcorn.  Leigh is producing some of the most incredible portrait work around at the minute, and is a genuinely nice guy into the bargain.  Now, while his appointment diary may be fully booked for about a year, he's got some pretty decent artists working in his shop that could easily handle pretty much anything you care to throw at them.

Also their title page mis-spells "piercings" and has apostrophes up the wazoo!

Right now at this moment in time, I'd love this; "An Cailín a Raibh a hÁilleacht Curtha Uirthi Ag An mBrón" tattooed on my inner wrist perhaps, or maybe somewhere more discreet. It translates as "The girl made lovely by sorrow", with perhaps a tiny Edelweiss flower at the end of the phrase. Failing that, there's always plenty of beautiful quotations out there and Chaplin has given us a few. Whatever I decide, it is a very personal choice for me to keep with the melancholic theme....

EDT: I'm a tattoo "virgin" and I think this (if I get) would be my only, special one.

Is there such a thing as colour bleed in tattoos? I would demand the tattoo "artist" here corrects your tattoo for free as they haven't done a good job at all - which is extremely unfair for you! Sorry and no offence, as I mean this in a completely respectful way but you should seriously have a word with him/ her as they have lacked consistency through the colour depth also and tattoos (I've heard) fade through time anyway....

The colours haven't bled. The red rebel symbol is meant to look like that. I like it
Plus this is a poor mobile picture

That's a brilliant piece of work, it's just a shame it's a drawing of a fucking snake.

My days of chemistry are long gone, but I'm fairly sure that's an amino acid. NH2 is definitely ammonia anyway.

Mmm. It's a good guess...

It's theanine. I'm a tea addict/geek/obsessive and it's the stuff in that (with some help from caffeine) which destresses, elevates your mood and what-not. What makes having a cup the best thing since they banned the opium dens.

It's DL-Theanine - mostly found in tea, green tea in particular.
D'oh! Didn't see your answer up there.

At least it gave a chance to try out www.chemspider.com.

Does it come with a made in Taiwan bit?

Still have no tattoos, tho I keep humming and haaing over an ambigram of my children's names. It's doable, cos their names have the same number of letters, and even I can come up with a basic working idea for one.

It's also the only real thing I can realistically see me wanting permanently.
