The American pam is really cute never really found the British secutary very attractive.

Someone has edited the series with the focus on Jim and Pam for anyone who wants to see it, after that just move on to the next one, i watched all 15 in one sitting they were great.

The US version starts on ITV2 next Sunday(the 24th) at 10.40pm.
That means u can watch Entourage and US Office on ITV2 and then flick over to BBC2 for season 3 of Arrested Development. What a couple hours of entertainment that is.

So should we keep this as the ITV speed The Office thread, and create another US speed thread. I would love to discuss the third season in detail, and it is best to avoid spoilers ect.

I haven't seen all of the first series yet, it's on my rental list though.  I've only seen the first 3 episodes but it was great.

Did anyone catch this last night, i realy enjoyed it, not that many laugh out loud moments but still very amusing, glad it's got some heart like the original had.

Yeah it was alright. I still don't like the Dwight character much. And Pam and Jim isn't done half as well as the original, but it's still funny.  Steve Carrell makes it for me.

I suggest you guys stick with it. There are bound to be episodes funnier than others. Just like the first couple episodes of the first season, it's slow out of the gate. You still have over 20 episodes to rain judgment upon.

I'm shocked that you don't like the character of Dwight, Castor. For me, he's second to Carell when it comes to making me laugh out loud. I can't force you to like the supporting characters, but this is the season where they begin to play a bigger and funnier role. If you don't like Dwight maybe you'll find someone you do like. Watch for Toby, Creed, Stanley, and Kevin. They're hysterical.

As for the whole Pam & Jim scenario, I'll admit it's not as well done as the original, but to be honest, I didn't really care for it in Gervais's version, [I watched the original for Gervais. He's a laugh riot!] but I suppose that it serves as an anchor to the show and is therefore needed.

Keep watchin' guys. I hope you won't be disappointed.

The one that was on last night wasn't very good.

Can be good, though.

I was just about to search for this Thread, as this show really is on top form right now. Especially with the new branch arriving, along with some new characters. The immense rivalry between Andy and Dwight has already become one of my favourite features of the show. And plus, with the other girl arriving too (can't remember her name), it really makes the Jim & Pam storyline a whole lot more interesting.

And in two weeks time (November 30th), the episode written by Ricky and Steve is set to air!

I just watched the latest two episodes of season 3: very funny. The storyline is now following the start of the UK series 2 reasonably closely. I like the Dwight-Andy rivalry and the Jim/Pam/Karen story is interesting.

I'm also loving the Jim / Pam / Karen story, and found the 'faxes from the future' from a couple of weeks ago absolutely hilarious.

Yes, I loved the 'faxes from the future' too. The way Dwight ran to knock the coffee cup out of the workers hand was hilarious.

Having watched this on ITV2 (3?4?) for the past couple of months I have to say that this comedy has truly come into it's own and become something bigger (if not greater) than it's predecessor.

I think that the balance between laughs and cringes is better in the American version and the fact that, by the end of Series One, they had already equalled the amount of episodes from the Brit version means that all the auxilliary characters are giving more room to breath and expand, which only brings in more laughs.

I truly think this is now, must see T.V.

The episode that airs tomorrow in the US has been writtern by Gervais and Merchant! Should be interesting...

I'd really like to see Stephen Merchant guest star actually - he was absoltuely brilliant in Extras! Upstaging you know who in the last epsisode...
