This thread is killing me, I have only been reading little bits, as I am still waiting for the next one to come on in the UK. At this rate we won't be caught up until I'm about fifty

Agree about Season's Two and Three, I would put them up against any other sitcoms. Also love the Busketball match, Health Care and Alliance episodes in One, and bits of series four.

I liked how everyone got involved (well, almost everyone) for the opening, and the line about Inception cracked my up. And I know he's been doing it for 6 years now, but whenever Jim pulls s face at the camera in amazement of Michael Scott I can't help but laugh.

Just noticed an advert on Paramount stating the new season (for the UK) is being broadcast in October.

Yay!

(I take it its season 5?)

I thought that ITV had the rights to it and showed it when they felt like it (i.e. several years after it's been on in America), and Paramount could only show it after it's ran on ITV? It might have changed now though?

Watched episodes 2 & 3 last night, episode 2 wasn't much cop but the Sweeney Todd episode was great with Michael Scott at his petulant best!

Edit: I stand corrected - http://www.comedycentral.co.uk/shows/the-office-season-1/#showSummary

I recently started watching this and i'm really enjoying it. I think it excels when it isn't trying to be a complete copy of the UK series and tries to do things a bit differently. Dwight is a great character and I love the different ways that Pam & Jim play pranks on him.(Desk in the toilets, and possessions in the vending machine being the best so far).

Only half way through Season 2, but this is PERFECT lunch time viewing at work. Currently watching an episode per day on my netbook at work - I keep having to hold back the laughter. It puts me in a great mood for the afternoon :)

So does anyone know if the show will be ending after series seven with Carell leaving. I think seven is a good number espically considering I couldn't see a US Version of such a classic UK show working in the first place. It seems like people who have seen the later seasons have only had a complaint with a couple so that is pretty good going.

As a UK viewer I cannot wait for tonight!

Anyone been watching lately? I reckon this is the best series for a couple of years.

Also David Brent had a cameo. Was really looking forward to it and although he was a bit disappointing, Michael's reaction was fantastic.

Whilst still a bit inconsistent, it's definitely better than the last series and the Christmas episode was brilliant. I was a little disappointed with the David Brent cameo because I expected him to feature throughout the episode, but what little there was I enjoyed. I'm looking forward to seeing how Michael Scott leaves - I've read a few things about it but not sure what to believe (I won't relay them here due to potential spoilers)

The snowball episode where Jim finally gets his comeuppance against Dwight was brilliant I thought. Great performance by John Krasinski.

Yeah that was great. Couldn't have Jim carrying on always beating Dwight.

Might this be because Carell can act and is funny?

And Gervais? Carrell can act and is funny.

Carell's reaction when Brent said 'that's what she said' was priceless.

Disappointed in Threat Level Midnight. Maybe my bar for TV show spoof action thrillers was raised too high with the sublime Lethal Weapon 5.

Is that the Always Sunny Lethal Weapon you're talking about? If so, you're right, it is fantastic. However, loved Threat Level Midnight as well. Swapping between Gibson and Glover halfway through wins it for Sunny though - genius.

The Aussie accent, the switching for blackface sake and the sex scene are brilliant, The Office, I dunno, they kinda didn't go too far inept.

Just wanted to say that Dwight and Andy are two of the funniest characters ever.

Anyone still watching this? They are only a few eps away from the end now, the last two episodes were brilliant. I thought the show had gone a little stale in season 6, but 7 has been great. The big cameo in the last two episodes and his rapport with Carrell has been brilliant. As much as I think the show should end, to go out on a high, man I am going to miss it.

I caught up with this the other day - the 2 bits that made me literally howl with laughter were Erin putting the shaving foam on Michael and when Andy's asked to be funny so he does that stupid routine!

This season has definitely been a return to form. Everyone is acknowledging that Jim and Pam are annoying (especially Ferrell), Dwight isn't as ridiculous but still funny, Kevin has been given loads of screentime and Michael has been as good as ever.

I've always really enjoyed it, I don't really distinguish much between each season as regards quality as there's always a couple of laughs in every episode.  Though if you ask me Parks & Recreation is the funniest show out there the past two years, surpassing even The Office and 30 Rock.  Much like the US Office, it started off as a pale imitation and then took on a life of it's own!

Ah, I did not. Hmm not sure what to make of that one. I hope they don't drag it out, and Michael is pretty key to everything going on. Is it just going to be the same format, but without Michael or are they going a different route?
