A reliable chap on Twitter mentioned B&N may be doing another 50% sale in Nov though.

But yes - it is horrible that Criterion won't ship to Europe. I mean, they charge for shipping to Canada, so it isn't as if they aren't used to charging for shipping.

And I`ve never seen Badlands so I didn`t know that lambs are featured in that one as well

Will only be getting The Man Who Knew Too Much and The Tin Drum (wich I still haven`t seen). Already got the Criterion dvd`s of Two-Lane Blacktop and Ivan`s Childhood.

It is reported that in a discussion of releases 2013 and beyond that Criterion have said they will finally be releasing A Brighter Summer Day!This is fabulous news but shockingly late given a new print got a run out at the LFF a couple of years ago.

What have peoples experiences with Barnes and Noble been like in England, in terms of delivery and avoiding customs.

Delivery is fine, Customs is pretty random - unless you make a large order then it's pretty certain you'll be hit.

 I ordered from B&N for the first time in the last sale in July. Ordered on 29th July and received on 24th August, not the quickest but at half price i ain't complaining.

No customs charge, i was told if they ticked books on the package there's no VAT. They'd ticked books.

hmm tempted to order a 3 or 4 to test the waters. I don't mind paying customs it's just that horrible royal mail "fee".

 Bought my first new release Criterion of 2012 yesterday! A store I go in had a copy of Godard's Weekend out on the racks (in the UK!), so I couldn't resist. I was planning on buying that and Heaven's Gate this month anyway, but it's great to see one of my favourite films finally in the collection.
