 Whenever there is a successful film, often the studio wishes to capitalise on it by releasing a sequel asap. But often the star or the original crew don't want to be involved hence.......cheap straight to video sequels! Often starring a soap or D-list actor and directed by ex-advertising salesman, they are often crap and sully the memory of the original.

Prime examples of this include the plethora of Disney sequels like The Lion King 2, Cinderella 2, Aladin: Jafar's Revenge etc

But when even major studios do this and such dire sequels include;

     These are to name but three of the straight to dvd sequels to films that came out years again. The Net came out in 1995, bambi in 1942 (a whopping 64 years between sequels), and day of the dead in 1985

God, where do you start with Disney films, practically every one has a straight to DVD sequel, only a few unlucky ones get into cinemas! My most remembered is this one because I was so looking forward to it for my birthday, and it's crap! The only good thing, and admittedly it's very good, is the "He Lives in You" song at the start, which they recognised is amazing as it's used in teh stage show.

wow, i never knew hellraiser meets the matrix!!!! i thought they all died in 3 anyway??

godamn there are some real shite stuff. albeit id see tremors 3.

i fucking hated lion king 2, there was no originality in the film, a direct retelling of the first one, but different chaacters. bull shit!
