I am going to be completely honest. This was ridiculous. Well ok, it was better than The Wild but not much better. Why can't we have a decent animated film. Now all we have got to do is pray thatpixar's latest, Cars, isn't going to be crap. Grade: C-

I saw this in the US months ago as my wife grew up with and is a great fan of Curious George. I have no history with the nosey monkey, in fact I'd never heard of it before meeting my wife, therefore I had no real interest in seeing this film, but on a slow movie week we saw this. Well, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! I surprise myself in even thinking this too! There's nothing about this movie that is bad, allowing for the very young target audience. It has to be the most Innocent film I've seen in... forever! So no worries for parents worried about any innuendo or other smart quips often injected in animated flicks these days, and as a 'grown up' I'd have thought this was a bad thing! The animation itself was a refreshing relief from the 3D graphics that is now the norm these days. And even though it was a 2D cartoon, it still maintained originality with a 'glow' that made its own. No the plot has no complexity, but it shouldn't and fits perfectly. I even found myself chuckling at some moments. This is the best kids movie, that is solely aimed for kids, that I've seen in a long time. Most 'just for kids' movies are straight to video these days (and for good reason), so hats off to all involved in making this.

Saw this at a special viewing last weekend. This movie may be aimed at toddlers, with no allowance for innuendo, but I still thorougly enjoyed it. The script is flimsy, but the characters are very likeable and you want them to have a happy ever after. It made me chuckle on several occassions, and was never less than pleaseant viewing.

It never claimed to be anything other then a children's cartoon, and it's a thoroughly entertaining one at that! I found it quite refreshing to see an animated feature that actually catered for it's target audience. The film will be a blessing on DVD, keeping the kids amused from start to finish - which is surely the point of such movies?

So cute to watch on screen, I could not take my eyes of George, and I'm 20 years old!
