Ban request for lying in the thread title since you completed those games yesterday!

I haven't completed a game in months due to not having access to a console.

Just a riff on the "Today I Saw" thread in movie musings. The currently playing thread doesn't cut it as I can be playing through several gaems at any one time.

Metroid Fusion! Awesome game - but then I'm something of a Metroid fanboy so I would say that. Challenging too - well done.

Completing King Kong, on the other hand, should have come as natural as breathing...

Anyway, I completed Call of Duty 2 on Normal last night. Just got to do the last four levels on Hardened and Veteran...

Metroid was fun but a few of the bad guys were a pain. I think it took about 10 tries to do the final section. Final time 7hr3min (I probably left it on a few times) 44% complete. I don't hink I can be bothered to get 100% and under 2 hours.

KK was a piece of piss. Easiest 1k gamer points I think I'll ever get.

Yeah, I remember that final bit. Well hard. Great twist though!

And yeah, KK's GamerScore is ridiculous. I'm considering bringing my Profile in to work and completing it while things are quiet, but I don't want to become a GamerScore Whore...

I got bored of the game by the time it came to completing it on Veteran. I completed the Winter War then I just couldn't bare to play it anymore. I'll probably finish it off sometime in the summer. Oh and expect to get extremely pissed off with some of the later levels on Hardened and Veteran, Hill 400 and the one where you land on the beach and have to work your way through the trenches will drive you mad.

I completed Tomb Raider: Legend (360) 100% earlier this week, getting all the rewards, completing it on every difficulty setting and the time trials. Strangely enough none of the levels got boring and they were very replayable. I also completed Fight Night Round 3 (360 again) yesterday, took me a good few matches to get used to and master the punching using the right analogue stick, but it became easy after a while.

With FM06 being the new game to occupy my time, I can't see myself completing any games for a while.

I admire your patience, after playing it through for the second time on hard (Feckin' miracle for me, I never play through games again!) I simply can't bring myself to do all the time trials.

It's best just to remember that the time trials will take you no longer than an hour to and hour and a half.

I'm a clumsy bastard with Tomb Raider though, so blatantly impatient with the controls that I often fall to my death, the time trials would probably kick my arse.

Anyways most recent games I've completed would be:

Burnout Revenge, Farcry Instincts and Tomb Raider in no particluiar order.

Ah, see I've played it on Veteran from the start! Having got to the last four levels it's gotten INSANE however, so I quickly finished them on Normal and now I know what to do I shall try them on Hardened.

That's if I can stop playing Hexic HD. Didn't really like it at first but it's grown on me...

Oh and you completed all the Time Trials on Tomb Raider? Nuff respect!

Nobody could manage that when the game was tested - 'tis an Achievement to be proud of!

I've completed Guitar Hero on Easy & Medium......

I think the only other game I've legitimately (as in not used any cheat codes) completed is Resi Evil on the GC.

I think it's RECENT completions the thread is about, not that it really matters.

The last non-360 game I completed was Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.

Anyone got any tips on how to get better scores/more achievements on Geometry Wars?

Yeah I quite like Hexic. Not sure I would have bought it if it hadn't come free with the hard drive though.

Can't help you with Geometry Wars, but currently it's the only XBLA game I'm considering paying for, having really enjoyed the Trial Version. Would you say the full game is worth it?

Resident Evil 4 was the most recent game I completed on PS2. Was relieved to finally get to the end.

Now I'm wanting to finish off Black. Its taking me longer than usual due to me getting frustrated because I can't save during levels so I end up turning it off and leaving it a few days before giving it another crack....hmph!

Yesterday I finally located the football in GRAW on hard. The last couple of levels on the harder difficulty are just fecking insane IMO. Well solid and it totally brought me to a standstill, as far as gamerpoints go, for a good few days.

I reckon that Gamerpoints/Achievements are the best thing to happen to gaming for ages. I doubt I would have bothered with the last 2 levels had it not been for the Achievement factor.

I reckon PGR3's gonna give me at least another 100 gp's by the end of the week. Ditto Kameo (probs another 250+ gp's there). Then I'll have to think about getting summat else.

Any suggestions?

The lack of mid level save on that game really pissed me off. I was working through it on Hard and not having too much trouble until it came to the very last room in the Asylum. I then died about five times in a row but at that point I had spent about an hour and a half carefully picking my way through the level and really needed a break from the game. I have not been back to it since as I know I have to put aside a good deal of time and might still not make a save point. Bloody annoying.

Horrific. Many games these days don't allow cheats that can be used to complete the game.

What I meant was codes that give you things like unlimted lives or unlimited ammo.... not ones that take you to the last stage (Rogue Squadron).

I'm not good at completing games.... I just get bored and move onto something else instead!

GamerScore Whoring is BAD!

That said, King Kong is the easiest 1000 points in existence.

Not really that fussed about the actual points. It's the achievements I dig. I know they're pretty much the same thing but it was the Achievements that kept me going on GRAW whereas otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.

I'm not really looking for easy gp's. I'm looking for games where you feel as if you've accomplished something when you unlock an achievement. Kong doesn't float my boat at all in that respect.

Just done a little swapsy with my mate. GRAW for FM2006. I reckon I'll be playing that for a while now

I'm not a fan or RPG's and there's only so much shooting you can stick with......
I gave up on GTA:SA after struggling on one mission, then 6 months later went back to it and got stuck in.  Unfortunately my memory card was then stolen - and there's no way I'm starting all over again.

Most of my games are sports related.......

In that case, go for Call of Duty 2. Veteran difficulty is ROCK hard, but the Achievement for completing each mission on it is mucho satisfatico...
