I like the succulent flower type one. A very nice depth of field.

I like this one. just a shame it had the "Danger Keep Out" on it.

Incidently I found out how people manage to get lightning pictures (I was inspired to look it up during a storm yesterday). It is a shame most lightning triggers cost more than my camera.

Cheers guys. They are buildings on an abandoned hospital campus, so they all have danger signs sprayed on 'em.

As for lightning photography, there is another way of doing it without the exorbitant cost of a lightning trigger. Quite an interesting guide here:

The colours in that are fantastic. Nice shot sanchia !

I've been persisting with the bird photography and have come up with a few half decent shots lately.

Just been down the shore for a walk with the pooch. There's always something different going on down there. Yesterday there was about 30 dogs there so i thought i'd take my camera if it happened again. Today kite boarders!

Here's some;

If I had had the time and mobility to get there I would have headed to the nearby fields but sadly I had neither at that time.

A bit of an experiment with saturation and exposure merging.

The depth of field in this one is perfect, I've done quite a few rose close ups and other flowers and it's not easy to get that just right. Great shot.

I believe that was one where I found the A-Dep setting on my Canon. Which I think I used for these two also:

Thank you.

It is a setting I have not used an awful lot but think I may be experimenting with a bit more.

I only had my phone with me so not the best shot but I really liked the dark sky behind the Cathedral at that time. Sadly I also had to crop it a bit on the right as there is scaffolding all over that end so no flying buttresses.

It is a shame. The green in the Cathedral close is one of the most potentially picturesque areas but always is surrounded by cars. Looking at old photos prior to cars coming into vogue they were great pictures.

A bit of an experiment. I dug out the old 300mm Canon lens for this one which isn't the best lens in the world although with a judicious and pretty extreme crop it has not come out too badly.

Both of those are amazing hozay, so jealous you have that sort of wildlife on your doorstep!

That's a pretty damn good shot of the moon there Sanch as well!  I'm rubbish at moon shots.

You should have seen the first three blobs before I worked out 1/2000 was all I needed (then a little cleanup of the RAW).

I think I am finally learning a few things from trial and error.
