When i was travelling, i saw some beautiful sights - sunsets, glaciers, rainbows, waterfalls, wet t-shirt competitions.....so i thought why not start a thread for all you decent photographers out there?

What's the most beautiful photo you've ever taken? What photo would you enlarge and hang over your desk to remind you of the most wonderful times in your life?

Here are five of mine;

Fiji: Loved how the rainbow was framed by the palm trees.

Tunisia: The desert. It was so vast, so empty, so beautiful.

Fiji: Most beautiful clouds i've ever seen. Just sitting on a beach at dusk. Amazing.

New Zealand: Standing on a glacier looking downwards. Loved how the sun shone through mist and clouds causing the beam effect.

Thailand: I was on a train heading to Bagkok. The sun was setting and there was this brilliant glowing effect on the clouds and sky. Breathtaking.

A couple of photos I took at New Year in Edinburgh I think are very pretty, nothing like those ones, but they remind me of a brilliant night with all my friends around me.

I took these ones in the Cairngorms a couple of months ago. The mist and snow was just amazing

I was in Edinburgh the first/second week of April this year, Mozza. It snowed... and hailed on me. A plot I tells ya.

I tried to think of just a few pictures, but there are so many I love it was really difficult even to cut it down to these, so apologies for posting loads!

The Mayan Temple Pyramid at Chichen Itza, in the Mexican Jungle. Such an awe-inspiring sight, and very difficult to climb!

The Beach in central Cancun, Mexico, at Sunset. Those clouds massing on the horizon meant a tropical rainstorm later that night

Downtown Auckland from the cliffs outside the city. I love the way the Sky Tower seems to pierce the clouds - living up to it's name.

Rangitoto Island - a dormant volcano - across Auckland Harbour

Niagara Falls (the Horseshoe Falls part). This was taken in March 2004 when the snow and ice began to melt, but it was still an awesome sight. I love the way the water thundering down shrouds everything in this ethereal, icy mist.

Narooma, on the New South Wales Coast, at dusk. A beautiful town, and so peaceful.

Lake Burley Griffen, Canberra, at sunset. I have a whole series of pictures from this walk because the quality of the light was fantastic, but I like the framing of this one.

I climbed up the Cairngorms last week, saw some red grouse and artic hare, it was so beautiful looking down at Loch Garten and abernethy forest.

I thank you - I've actually got tons of recent ones from Thailand, California, Malaysia and other places but since they're still 35mm (I'm not quite a digital convert yet) I've never got around to scanning them in and putting them on the site as it's somewhat time consuming. One of these days I'll get around to updating my site.

These are all from Australia 2005 - I don't have any of my others on this computer. Most of these are the kind of images that it's impossible to take a bad photo of, which is nice for me considering I'm no photographer...

Somewhere along the East Coast of Australia, 2005. I don't know the place name - I just took it out the window as we drove past.

Dunk Island, a tiny little island again off the east Coast of Australia.

I've got to re-size the other two I wanted to put up. This might take me a while...

It was indeed the Whitsundays. Beautiful place is it not? God, i wish i was back there.

Base, i love that one of the balloon over the Gorge. As i'm originally from Bristol, i've seen the fiesta many a time. Were you taking pictures from the Downs or the Suspension Bridge?

I've been to both of those places and they are lovely pictures! I totally agree with your comments as well: I got halfway up the pyramid, looked down and chickened out from going any higher! And all the beaches in that area of Mexico are lovely at that time of day...

Incredible pictures Spektre! You've really captured some beautiful moments there.

That one was on the Downs, shame I couldn't have gotten the bridge in the shot as well but it is in the other direction.
