Cheers, been wanting to see it since it was in the cinemas, where I managed to miss it.

I picked it up in Virgin for 1.99 back when the clearance sale was on.

I should have waiting for me, at home, thanks to the gracious offices of Screenselect....

Disc 3 of this - I'm hoping that something particularly nasty happens to Mr Tulkinghorn.  I don't mind what - just that he gets his comeuppance!  Been enjoying it immensely so far.  Will purchase at some point.

After picking up the Time Out guide to 1000 films to change your life (or whatever it's called!) and finding them raving about this...  I thought I'd give it a try.  By the same chap who did 'Spirited Away', 'Howl's moving castle' and 'Nausicaa, Valley of the Wind' (which is just worth the watch for listening to Patrick Stewart and Edward James Olmos!)

And finally...

I missed this on telly, but I have heard nothing but good things about this and am looking forward to this...  Once that I know Mr Tulkinghorn gets what's coming to him!

It's very good. Ryan Gosling is absolutely superb as Leland, and Don Cheadle is a really superb character as well. Spacey isn't in this very much (boo!), but when he is, he's really good.

Definately worth watching, if only for Ryan Gosling.

Screenselect are improving their service with me. I find that if you are not getting the dvds you want, just leave the spaces not allocated instead of adding more films to your list. Within a day or two you get what you want.

I've just rented The Passenger with Jack Nicholson.

Every so often in this film I dipped into the commentary and was interested to hear Jack Nicholson mention that in this film, he and Ian Hendry never shared a scene . He then mentions that he is always running into Ian Hendry when he is in England - that when they do Hendry reminds Nicholson that they were in a movie together.

Who is out there impersonating Ian Hendry? Because the real one died in 1984.
