£3.91 is the lowest priced package available. You'll get billed that amount every month. It allows you to have one disc at home at a time, one the most you can rent in a month is two discs. There is no return date, you can keep it for as long as you like but you won't get a new one until that's sent back. The best package if for £15.65 a month. This allows to have 3 discs at home at a time and there is no limit to how many rents you can have in that month. You can, in theory, get 6 films a week this way - They send 3 out on a Monday, you receive Tuesday, send back Wednesday, they get them and send 3 more out on Thursday, they get them Friday and send back on Saturday. Sometimes it takes an extra day for them to send them out, or you might simply not be able to watch that many in a week, but it can, and sometimes does, work like this. Even so, just 2 films a week is a lot cheaper than getting them from a store. There are other packages that fall between the two extremes, varying combinations of the numbers of disc you can have at one time and the number you can have overall in a single month. And I do work my way though them quite fast I have had discs at home for weeks at a time before now though, and in those instances you don't get your money's worth though it tends to average out and no late fees is always good.
