Iím unsure about this film really, it was very good but I donít think it lived up to all the hype. I might watch it again to see what I think second time around.

Since my last post I've seen the wonderful Shopgirl, and also rented Night Watch, Factotum, Walk On Water and Flight 93.

Nigjt Watch was a great thrill ride. Highly entertaining. I've yet to see the others and I still have Shadowlands and Roger & Me to watch. I'd better get cracking

Lovefilm are sending me:

Stargate: Atlantis - Season 2 disc 1 (I've only been waiting for this for two blinkin' months - next time I'll simply download the buggers!)

Stargate: SG-1 S9 Disc 2 (again a top choice, but the wait has only been about six weeks)

One Day in September - which I've been waiting for a while again.

I won't say this too loudly but since I've slowed right down in sending my discs back, I might have lulled them into giving me what I want.  Rather than them throttling my a/c.  I shall keep you all updated.

Rented 'The Family Stone' & 'Dirty Harry'.

Just watched T.F.S and it's actually a very sweet movie. I can't wait to see 'Dirty Harry' (I'm still in my discovering classics phase)

Got these from LoveFilm today. A natural double bill as I'm sure you'll agree.

Well screenselect rarely fucking send me new releases these days. I've had The New World on my list since last Monday, the only film that I actually really would love to see.

So I have had to settle for small choices like My Own Private Idaho, which I hear is great, plus it has River Phoenix. I've gradually been working my way through his films, most recently the brilliant The Mosquito Coast.

I just wish they would send me some new releases. I plan to just not bother adding any more to my list so eventually they will have to send it me. This will be after several angry e-mails ofcourse.

I usually avoid movies with J. Lo in it but I lurrrve    Mr Redford (don't get any funny ideas ).  Her acting leaves much to be desired but I still enjoyed it.  If I'm right I think it's not even released in the UK.  Alot of movies come out sooner here in Italy.

I'm a rental convert since I did the Screen Select trial a while ago, I hated the idea of having films I hadn't seen before spoiled half way through by scratched discs but no problems so far.  I'm getting bugger all in the way of new releases though.

This week Ive been mostly renting...

Come and See is the pick of the bunch, The Idiot gets the wooden spoon.

Okay - seeing as Screenselect made me an offer I'd be a very stupid person to refuse (3 months rental for the price of one if I return... twist my rubber arm!) I have now left LoveFilm (who were p*ssing me off no end!) am now with Screenselect.

Who are sending me:

Which I foolishly missed at the cinema

Again, another 'I missed this at the cinema!' film

And the first disc of this:

I am very pleased by this as I have been waiting on Lovefilm to send me these for months!  Obviously, I don't expect this high level of service to continue but....  I sure as heck live in hope!
