As a bit of a fair weather Trek fan, one point in this article escaped me, hopefully someone can spell it out for me. What is the continuity error Lindelof refers to in Wrath of Khan?

'wrath of khan'-

khan remembering chekov from his time on the enterprise in TOS s1 ep 'space seed'-

chekov didn't appear in TOS til s2.

 Well filming starts in January, it's NOT going to be called Star Trek 2 and Nolan North (Uncharted and many other computer games) has blagged a role!

 So Weller is playing a CEO of some company/corporation (The Orion Syndicate) and Edgar Ramirez may be up for Del Toro's role... which everyone still believe is Khan.

I honestly can't see them going down that route - Kurtzman and Orci have often spoken of their love for Wrath of Khan and can't imagine them giving it a go for fear of screwing it up

I will definately be seeing this in 2D only. If Abrams wanted us to see it 3D he would film it in 3D.

Then you don't have Wrath of Khan happening , but what the original Kirk marooned him to prevent. So, I don't know, an almost encounter with Khan and followers/a start of discussuins about Khan's ideas cut short because Kirk says 'we really don't have time for this', get on with the film at hand, and a later film with Khan smug and asking, 'Do you have time for this now, Kirk?' so you end up with what is essentially a 'clash of the egos' again, under different circumstances, with a war scenario, rather than the personalised one of TWOK.

If they go down the Khan road I'll be rather disappointed. I just hope Abrams doesn't give in to fanboy pressure.
