Brilliant film! One of the best Bond films for a while. I was a big fan of Brosnan and thought he did great but Danile Craig has surpassed him, he's great. But not as good as Sir Sean! Craig brings a new depth to Bond, he has done great in this film, I would have to watch his next Bond film to make my final verdict on him. Eva Green is looking fine, one of the sexiest Bond girls in the series. Although this film is amazing, I was disappointed by a few things. 1. No gun barrell at the beginning, I was sitting there saw the lion, expecting a gun barrell, but nothing. You do kind of have it to start off the title sequence, but it's not the same. 2. No dancing girls in the title sequence, although it's good anyway. Finally 3. The whole BOnd tune isn't in it until the end credits. Every other Bond film has had the tune in at least one action sequence but not this one. The action sequences were amazing, espacailly the free running scene, brilliant. I didn't think the film was much different to any other Bond film, its Bond thats different. He is gritty and looks like he doesn't give a dam. So all in all a great film that I highly reccommend!

The best Bond film since Goldeneye. Same Director. Nuff Said!!!!
Brosnan was the best Bond since Connery, but Daniel Craig definatly proves himself capable.
Lets just hope that the Bond franchise doesnt slip into the cash-in market as did Die anither Day and The World is not Enough. No need 4 shitty cameos!! Catch my drift???

the cast let this film down....there is an air of cheapness about the feel to this movie and the cast just don't have any substance to bring to the picture. the action scenes and fights are pretty darn good (very good for bond standards) but the entire cast need shooting

Excellent film. Perhaps not the best Bond film ever, but one of the best films of 2006, if not the best. Certainly the best blockbuster of the year.

Outstanding film, great babes , chase and fight sceenes .
I was also impressed by his martial arts skills and strength. I think he is the first Bond to really have no remorse for his killings.
He's the darkest bond yet.
Can't wait for the next one.

I was quite surprised by this as was not expecting Daniel Craig to be any good in this role.I was wrong,this film is superb and Craig pulls it off superbly.Up until this,Goldeneye was my fave Bond flick but this beats it hands down.Entertaining stuff.

Better, bolder, meaner and darker than previous Bond beginning's, but the whole lot better. Girl's, action and suspence round every corner makes Bond a mean machine. Daniel Craig has fit into the tux and the Aston quite perfectly.

'Casino Royale' is the most accomplished James Bond film ever to be film (in my opinion). I think that The quality of acting from it's leads - Daniel Craig and Eva Green - is to a most supreme standard. Daniel Craig manages to take the James Bond character to a whole new level and Eva Green manages to portray the 'bond girl' as a much more intelligent woman. A great film!

Utterly Fantastic. The best bond movie ever IMO.

Craig is gritty and hard and the film is bone crunchingly good.

After falling into a boring, predictable formula during the Brosnan era, this reboot shakes and stirs things up and is easily the best Bond film ever. Daniel Craig gives a tough, intense, and human performance. The action scenes are taut and genuinely exciting. The script and direction are sharp and intelligent. And did I mention how awesome Craig is? He'll be the Bond to beat. This is a shot of adrenaline that this 44 year old franchise desperately needed.

It really is one of the best Bond movies. Togehter with Goldfinger, The Spy Who Loved Me and GoldenEye, this one really outshines the others. Craig has really recaptured the magic. After the last three movies, in which Brosnan starred, they really had to come up with a well written script and good acting performances. Of course it was very nice to see Hally Berry in a bikini, but Die Another Day was really devistating. Royale has a real feel to it and has the authencity of a James Bond film. Because there weren't any gadgets used by Bond, this movie actually goes back to the days of Dr. No. Craig combines all the ingredients of the previous Bonds. I'm really looking forward to the sequel of this beautiful film!

I loved this movie, it's up there with the much older ones and Daniel Craig IS JAMES BOND. He does it with such style and charsmia, especially that bit on the water! He's a thinking woman's beefcake with that body and he acts very well. The action is great, the story is gripping and the co-stars are brillant as well. It goes to show you that some people can judge a book by it's cover and they get it very wrong.

This film was in my opinion the best of the lot with probably the best Bond in many people's opinion. Daniel Craig played a very good Bond and the film showed us what we want in a Bond film, a lot of action and scenes showing that he is'nt completely invincible like when he was having a bit of trouble jumping from great heights which he seems like in a lot of the films. If this was supposed to be set before the rest of the films, then it could explain the reason whyin all the Bond films he can have sex with the girl and not make her pregnant as a condom doesnt always work as in this film when he is being tortured, the bad guy, LeChiffre, kept on hitting him in the balls which probably would make him infertile and so proves my point. Overall it had good acting,great action scenes and I am looking forward to the sequel 'The Quantom Of Solace'.

The best Bond ever? Not hard as there all crap - This was so average - Watch the BOURNE trilogy they just get better. This was 30 mins to long and just so slow - in the end i just didnt care - Reinvention, i think not - best leave that to the new Batman films.

This is undeniably a great movie and Daniel Craig brings a new side to Bond. My only complaint is that the film is missing characters like Q and Moneypenny who made the old films so good. It's also missing some of the humour and the villain just isn't as threatening as the classics like Goldfinger, Dr. No, Scaramanga and the others.

It was good enough, the Bourne ultimatum was about as good as this, but in the end, the bond film lacked in something that only the Bourne ultimatum had.
An ok movie, worth owning on DVD, but if its a choice between, Bond and Bourne, go for Bourne.

We first see Daniel Craigs version of 007 in a toilet fighting the enemy. Its brutal, bloody and shows Bond for what he basically is...an assasin working for queen and country, trained to kill with his bare hands if necessary. Never before have we seen Bond this violent. This is his first kill and it shows as he appears slightly shaken by the experience, however, not enough to stop him putting a bullet into a corrupt member of MI6.

Casino Royale is one of the best Bond films ever. It has a perfectly good Bond, attractive women, a genuinly unpleasant villain, cars, guns and the odd martinin here and there. Whilst I was initially unimpressed when I heard that neither Q or Moneypenny would be making an appearence, they aren't missed. Thats not to say I dont want them back, as seeing Daniel Craig winding up Q would be good to watch. The two major characters in any Bond film return in the shape of Daniel Craig and Judy Dench as his boss M. Firslty Daniel Craig well and truly makes Bond his own. This Bond gets bloody, he sweats, he gets scared and shockingly gets his hair messed up. Only a little though. This Bond has emotions previous Bonds only hinted at. We see him deeply care for someone and as mentioned before he gets scared. Any man who doesnt get scared whilst having his manhood beaten to a pulp quite frankly isnt human. M in this film is colder and harder with Bond than she was with any Pierce Brosnan film and its good as this is how the relationship between the two is supposed to be. M storming out of a meeting with the government is pure brilliance as is her rant about it.

Casino Royale has a realistic plot and an extremely ruthless villain. There is no cave, no cat and no plans for world domination. There isnt even a ransom. Instead we have Le Chiffre, a banker to the worlds terrorists and someone who desperately needs money as he's lost his clients funds to the stock markets. This villain has everything to lose and his exchanges with Bond show that hes worried about this man whos there to stop him. Anxiety turns to desperation and the torture scene is fantastic. This is painful to watch and the suprise end to end makes it better. Bond even keeps a sense of humour when hes in agony and mocks Le Chiffre for "scratching his balls". This is important as whilst Bond may be a killer hes still a funny character when he wants to be.

There isnt one bad performance in this Bond film with Vesper, Mr White, Mathis and Qs secretary all good characters. This, along with the action scene, certainly make Casino one of, if not the best Bond film ever.

Daniel Craig has the potential to be the best 007 ever as he has the charm, emotion, rugged good looks, humour and the genuine hard man attitude. If Quantum Of Solice is anything like Casino Royale than we are in for something special.

Don't listen to the negative reviews. Anyone who claims that all of the Bond films are crap is someone not to listen to. It is a trully terrific film. Daniel Craig is fantastic, The screenplay is fantastic and the plot contains so many twists and turns that its 144 mins running time will not be a problem. You HAVE to see Casino Royale

This takes a huge step towards the James Bond that Ian Fleming had created in his novels...and it isn't a mistake! Craig couldn't have done his job better and neither could the director, keeping us on the edge of our seats during fantastic action scenes (using risky stunt methods) and gripping Poker games that are so nerve-racking that they have the audience sweating like pigs throughout. The baw-whipping torture scene is both brutal and hilarious and the emotional take on Bond's characteristics is certainly a brave move but from the action to the twists and performances this truly delivers as a clssic Bond movie- up there right next to Goldfinger

Bond is back. Craig has brought Bond to the 21st century. This bond feels ripped from the pages of Fleming's Casino Royale. Craig is brilliant at playing the stone cold killer whose cold heart is melted as his relationship with Vesper develops. The chemistry between Craig and Green is sizzling. This has everything that a bond movie needs with such ingrediants as action, pace, romance and a worthy villian. With Jason Bourne taking the limelight in recent years, Casino Royal reminds us who the original and best superspy is. Connery to this day is still arguably the definitive bond but Craig isn't far behind and is taken bond somewhere new and is bringing a new lease of life into 007. Bond is back and here to stay.
