Casino Royale is a stripped down muscular back to basics story with excellently filmed sequences and a kick-arse hero. CGI effects have been replaced by tough action editing and real actors acting. This new post- Bourne Bond is energetic and earthbound. Gritty realism makes events believable: this character bleeds and is vulnerable. Renewal has been accomplished by cutting away at a franchise bloated by cliche, mannerism and techno-gadgetry. We get back to the making of 007,Bond's formative psychology. The sinewy Craig literally sweats for his lines, thankfully without the polish of the later Bond and the stale menagerie of gimmicks. Bond Begins.

Do you have anything original, insightful or incisive to say...?

I don't mean to troll, but regurgitating the gloss of what practically every major newspaper/magazine has said before you isn't worth much.

Next time, take the above as a given and delve a little deeper. Especially if you're going to post it a couple of dozen times.

And before you ask, I haven't posted a review myself because all my opinions on the film have already been expressed by others.

Some idiot trying to up his post count no doubt. How exactly do you accidently post the same thing 24 times?

Hmm, another poster getting a bit excited . I've had a few double posts via that "Click on the review, then post your star rating" method, but why is it posting it so much? A glitch in the system, possibly?

It's not a glitch, he's being a dickhead. He was putting up new threads in Movie Musings and getting them locked within seconds due to the pointless (and repetetive) nature of them.

This for me was my film of the year, I found it refreshingly easy to watch, and i geniuely liked Craig's Bond, those moronic fools who said he couldn't do it, hold your head in shame, bring on Bond 22!Long live Craig, anybody else notice how much of the theme song is, blooming annoying really, but hell nothing will beat Madonna's awful entrant!

Well i for one also think it was the best Bond ever. Although i think i will post this only once.

At last we see Bond from the beginning, not as good as Batman Begins but still a damn good movie. Craig proves that he just doesn't look good in a Tuxedo but can actually deliver on a scale this big. With one of the best film chase scenes ever. CR obviously takes a couple of notes from the Bourne films, and i comes very close to beating Bourne but unfortunately it lacks the pace of either of the Bourne films. But overall well done to Craig and the rest of the Casino Royale team because this film was without doubt the BEST BOND EVER. Until Bond 22 that is.
