Anyone else get really hungry when they see that steak in The Matrix (when Smith is talking to Cypher).

I do strangely. It's odd the only thing Neo has ever eaten at that point is 'tasty wheat'.

that steak is possibly the nicest looking steak in the history of films...

The Big Kahuna burger from Pulp Fiction always makes me hungry. It just looks so mmmm! I would definitely need a tasty beverage to wash it down!

theres something about film food...it looks so much better. that steak makes you want to leap inside the TV...butter and honey in animations is awesome too...as is bourbon in films, like out of sight..

After eating the Matrix-generated steak, you can really appreciate the reasons why Cypher decided to betray his crewmates. Wouldn't you? I'd doom all of mankind for that steak. And the fact that he just keeps staring at it, he might as well look at the audience and say:

"You'd like this steak, wouldn't you. WOULDN'T YOU!!! Well, I'm not going to eat it, I'm going to sit here and make you suffer"

Actually, this could be the ultimate torture to be used in Saw 3. The Jigsaw killer could lock a fat guy in a room, with this scene playing on repeat. He'd go mad, as the hunger kicks in...

Ahem. I've thought about this way too much. And now I'm starving.

Hell, I'm a tree-hugging vegetarian, and even I think that steak looks good!! And yep, I'd damn humanity for the very same selfish reasons; why the hell would you want to spend your life in the dark, on a clanky old ship, eating nothing but watery porridge, when you can just bargain with the machines and be placed nice and snug back in the matrix, living as someone important -- like an actor.

Wasn't there a particularly nice-looking steak in one of the Hannibal Lecter films...?

Personal fave film food has to be the Waffer-Theen Meent.

I do strangely. It's odd the only thing Neo has ever eaten at that point is 'tasty wheat'.

AND the fluid bodies of dead human beings he got fed through his mouth...

Anyway, this thread is great. It really is.

I always liked the look of the burger Jim Carrey's eating at the diner in Dumb And Dumber. It's the same scene Harry (Jeff Daniels) has Seabass spit in his burger.
