I wonder what is going to happen in years to come when the current actors get old, or bored. Will they recast them, kill them off, or just reboot the whole universe all over again?

@Oroborous please no more reboots! I hope Marvel will be smart enough to follow the evolution of the characters as well as the evolution of the people playing the characters.

I had visions (bad ones) of, at the end of Phase 3, it would all get rebooted. I'm glad to read that doesn't seem to be the case. Rebooted characters but not story lines sound like the order of the day. The Winter Soldier eventually becoming Captain America anyone!

If you're not going to use Death's Head, please let turn up in the inevitable Transformers 17 to take out Bumblebee (pending Bay's complete absence)

I think the optimism of you fanboys expecting long term character arcs will be beyond what your average film goer can stomach. Feige may well be planning up to 2028 but I'll give it another 4 years before audiences abandon the superhero bandwagon because of boredom. Even Chris Evans is dropping out when his contract expires.

And who cares if Winter Soldier becomes Captain America it just sounds like a loophole to a reboot.

@Oroborous To reboot is not one of the options or recasting for that matter. Some of the Avengers will be replaced if not all of them. Which Marvel may already are working on. Like introducing new heroes for the MCU with the upcoming tv-series on Netflix and the post-Avengers 2 solo movies. As I said before these new heroes will later act as an replacement for the current Avengers team.

I wonder what's in store 10 years from now from Marvel. Probably a remake of something like that
