Days of Future Past, as it said so in 296. Hewitt said on the podcast that next month's issue "will blow our socks off"!

haven't got mine, I presume it's embargoed. I hope this isn't going to become a regular occurrence this year with all the 25 years specials.

God, it means we, poor subscribers from non-UK European countries, will again have to wait 2 weeks after the street release date...

I hope we'll get a very special, very good subsribers cover because otherwise there would be absolutely nothing to rejoice: we can't choose our favorite cover, and we get the issue later. Hope Empire proves me wrong! :-)

So for the second month running, the new issue is out,but still not arrived in today's post. Bit crap all round Empire. The only reason I subscribe is to get the issue several days before it hits stores. Subscribers covers don't really interest me, so if this carries on next month, I don't see any reason not to cancel my subscription...

Apparently we subscribers are going to receive one of two "exclusive covers". In other terms it means we are completely f*cked: we can't choose our cover, and we're getting our issue later than occasional buyers.

A week ago, Empire wrote on facebook that it was a really good time to be a subscriber because of the upcoming X-Men issue... Was it a joke?

I was a little disappointed by this issue. Also the X men section was filled with spoilers!

Just Received Days of Future Past Cover 2 "FUTURE" and It Looks it has some liquid spilt over the front across the front and down one side. DISAPPOINTED doesn't cover it.

Anyone else had this cover with this issue?

By the way, the 25 covers aren't available internationally. For people living outside of the UK, there are only 2 covers, one "past" and one "future". Basically they are just the same as the subscribers covers, with a little more text.

Hi all,

ORGpacman, please get in touch with the subs department and they should be able to sort out a replacement for the damaged issue. Details here: http://www.greatmagazines.co.uk/subscriber-services.html

As for the rest, in a case like this where there were 25 covers, we didn't want subscribers to feel like they weren't getting the ones they wanted (always possible, with so many options) so we made two special covers for you that no one else gets. Same with the international readers. In the past we've had complaints that people felt they were getting the "less desirable" covers in a set of however many; we hoped to address that complaint by doing your own version with the most popular characters on them.

As for this being a good time to be a subscriber, it really is. It's our birthday year and we have big things planned for essentially every issue.

jackcarter, may I suggest swapping with a fellow forumite? Anyone willing to exchange past for future?

Not true.

I get mine in France and at least seven or eight variations were available. I chose Rogue.

As for spoilers... EMPIRE has become so lazy with spoilers, or not even spoilers just basically revealing 3/4 of a film's plot in the review.

"This happens and then this happens and then this character does this and...". That is not reviewing, it is just lazy writing. Considering quitting buying the mag because it has just become an exercise in giving away facts and plot lines about films to the extent that I am paying to watch something that I already know what is going to happen for almost half of the film.

EDIT: Clicked the wrong reply, this was in reply to the person saying the covers are not available internationally.

It depends where you bought it. I think the regular shops get the international covers (i.e. 2 covers), while there are also British shops which buy the issues directly from UK, and get the UK edition.
