I find that if you knock a star off they're quite accurate.

I suppose the reason Empire over-rate movies is so they get the interviews with actors and directors etc but know a star off and in 90% of cases you've got an accurate rating.

This applies mostly to British movies, or movies directed by British directors, or movies starring British actors.

Sometimes two or even three. The problem here is you don't write and publish the magazine you then go and buy, which would be just a gross ego trip.
