I've just brought 2 albums by The Decemberists.

'Picaresque' and 'Her Majesty the Decemberists'.

Has anyone else heard of them...the closest thing to them I suppose are The Flaming Lips.

Both good albums, though the lead singer's voice may not be to everyone's tastes.

A great album. I don't own their previous albums though, but i definitely will be checking them out if there as anything as good as this.

They are just as good but some of the very early ones are more folky than this.... equally as brilliant though

Last album for me was one that I have been searching for at a reasonable price and today I found it

WOOOO

The rather confusingly titled 12 Songs by Neil Diamond (there are 14 songs on it!)

Great stuff, produced by the mighty Rick Rubin. A more stripped down style with Neil & his acoustic guitar forming the core of each song.

Just got that too. (only the limited edition has the bonus tracks, my copy hass 12 songs and I wouldn't want it any other way!).

Great, great album. I'm especially loving Man Of God and We. My kids love singing the line "Love is all about We(e)" as if it was an ode to piss.

Best album of the year so far I'd say.

Morrissey next.
