Phew, I'm happy to report that despite fearing the worst I'm currently loving Ghostory. See what Olaf means about it being different to the first two records, but to me there's shoegazeyness in abundance - The Night , Love Play and Show Me Love have 4AD-circa-'91 written all over them and When You Sing couldn't be more Loveless if it had 50 guitar tracks and bankrupted their label. Elsewhere, Scavenger reminds me of Disintegration-era The Cure, Lafaye's one of the best all-out pop songs they've ever written and White Wind is sinister and frankly mental. My only slight citicism would perhaps be the length. Though I like all of them, 9 songs is a bit short and on the whole the sound is pretty dark and intense - a few uplifting tracks a'la My Cabal, Windstorm wouldn't have gone a miss. Still, it's a minor quibble. Tour please?
