A silver egg and some link with Beethoven, I seem to remember...and what about Issy Noho, magic panda...those 70s really were trippy! Good choices elsewhere though, even if I'm a bit too old to remember some of them (the early 90s were post student days, so I missed most of the ones from then...)

This list is ok, but it doesn't have Bots Master. Sing along now: "My name is Ziv Zulander, Z.Z. for short, you know I fight the Corp I'm the BOTS MASTER!"

Also honourable mention should go to tiny british live action productions like The Ink Thief or the more successful Demon Headmaster.

Oh yes I had a bad case of the Zeroids back in the day, but they certainly weren't voiced by Windsor Davis lol........At least I think that's who voiced them. Anyhow great list with most of my favorites, but missing Space Sentinels, Tarzan and some other obvious ones, but as long as it has Ulysses 31 (film needed), Dungeons and Dragons (Lord of the Rings/Hobbit Films will cover that one nicely thankyou..plenty of D&D creatures there), Battle of the Planets and a few others that I could mention, I iz quite happy!

When I was a student I harped on about the Mysterious Cities of Gold when we discussed our favourite kids TV shows and no one had a clue what I was on about. It completely passed them by and for a long time I thought I had made up part of my childhood. Thank you for saluting this gem which for some weird reason I can remember was on at 4.35 on Tuesdays on CBBC.

So much nostalgia! So many of these shows were part of my childhood (and sad to say my early adulthood as well). I was disappointed in not seeing Johnny Quest. Also I loved watching the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner hour every Saturday morning, so I was surprised not seeing that as well! I have to admit, I didn't care for Animaniacs, I found them more annoying than entertaining.

Some great choices, but I think 'Defenders of the Earth' and 'ThunderCats' also deserve a mention

Oh my god! You got the "Felinos Cosmicos" opening to 'Thundercats'! I grew up watching the show in Spanish, and my mind just inserts that bit into the song no matter how many years have passed. Still THE best opening animation for any show of the 80s (or since, to be honest)--I was so mesmerized by the speed of it as a kid that I'd slo-mo my VHS (Mom taped the show for my sisters and I if it aired during school) just to see if I was missing anything. It is truly a work of art from the folks at Rankin-Bass.

... no 'Jem & the Holograms'? Like X-men, it also tackled tough themes, had a mostly female cast (which meant the female characters weren't just a tag-along kid sister or stay-behind secretary), and had some pretty nifty tunes (especially by "Punk" band The Misfits). It wallowed in way too much pink (Because: girls! And: 80s!), but it certainly had better plot-lines than all the princesses and magical friendship going on over at 'Lady Lovelylocks' (I can't even recall if that show actually had a plot) and 'My Little Pony.'

Honourable mention to 'Rainbow Brite.'

Honest! On the witches book, rather than a pentacle it had the star of David (the designer didn't know how to draw a pentacle) so it was thought to be antisemitic (hook nosed ugly witch clutching a book with the star of David on it- not good imagery). It was all an honest mistake, but it's actually more controversial than you'd think.

How many people remember sending off for the lyric sheet for the theme tune to that and singing along with Andy Crane in the Broom Cupboard with Edd The Duck?

How about mad Japanese puppet show Star Fleet, which Brian May loved so much that he got together with Eddie Van Halen & released a kick ass version of the theme tune?

As a 39 yr old, I was just too old for He-Man. I have not seen the Centurions since I was a kid, and loved Spiderman & friends. That Godzilla trailer took me right back ! (Godzooki .... HA HA HA ! ! !).
Chorlton & the Wheelies was my fave as a young kid. Just how messed up were the TV execs back in those days ? Probably still coming down from the 60's

This cartoon was pure genius. WB were once going to make a movie out of it. Shame as this would have been brilliant. Certainly right up there with any of the classic Looney Tunes cartoons.
