Is it just me, or was every single scene a ripoff of another movie?

I love Greek Mythology, I even studied it in school. Why does Hollywood keep defecating on the things I love. Here they seem to be going down the angsty-Twilighty route with rubbish acting, cheap/crappy cgi and the same muted atmosphere. The trailer itself is long and tedious (like Twilight), so I only imagine how bad the film itself will be. At least the trailers for Clash/Wrath of the Titans and Immortals were exciting (even if the films themselves were dire).

Y'know, I used to love Greek Mythology. I would buy books on the stuff, from the gods to the heroes, I still have the illiad on my bookshelf and the Odyssey is still one of my favourite reads.
But with this adding to the sludge of generic and down to earth characters like this, I'm losing my lustre for the most epic of stories.
It could have been done so much better as well, showing the more serious and ultimately doomed relationship with Megara (yes, the Disney movie actually added things that made sense in their movie) that could lead to a darker and more angst sequels.
The problem with these types of movies is the removal or the downplaying of negatives of the Gods.
I'll finish with this, if you want a good Greek Myths movie, the original Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts or even the '97 TV miniseries The Odyssey. They are 'somewhat' more faithful to the original concepts than any of this.
(I honestly want to see a big screen battle with Hercules facing the Nemean lion, that would be SO cool)

Yes, yes, yes. This looks garbage. And another origin story!
