We need to make this happen. I'm sure Gimli could find a way to repay MC for making him sit through Van Helsing a while back.

Shoving Stephen Sommers down an open elevator shaft will do just fine, thanks.

Calling little MC Stephen Sommers is a bit odd, but comparing Gimli's ladybits to an open elevator shaft is not the best way to start a new relationship.

Not really. It refers to two cocks.

I think more people should name their genitals after directors.

"What did you do last night?"

"Had an accident in bed. Michael Bay ended up fucking the frame."

I was with this chick last night and my Michael Cimino did a total Heavens Gate.

We're taking Paul's thread into weird area now.

I thought you would have called yours Scorsese. Because it's short, nervous, and has a lot of white hair.

Or Fred Dekker, because it hasn't worked in years.

I think mine would be more suited to being called Ti West.

All build up and no pay off, you see.

Actually, sometimes it has four instead of one.

Does it also keep insisting the fourth one was where it was meant to end when everyone knows it was really just trickling to a finish and it lacked the power and emotion of the first?

One of Charlie Brooker's better television shows (the not so good ones are Nathan Barley and A Touch of Cloth). It satirizes its subjects well and is genuinely terrifying during some of the zombie attacks. The final shot is one of the grimmest endings on the list.

This thread turned weird. Don't think anyone's ever tried to set me up on here before.

Dead End was pretty good. Kinda made me hoped the real Big Brother would get attacked vby zombies.

From the cowriters of six episodes of The Queen's Nose comes one of the best sitcoms to come out of Britain. Using the POV structure to its full potential they managed to create one of the best and funniest examples of cringe comedy. Also, it introduced me to the wonderful talent of Olivia Colman, so I'll always be grateful for that.

Peep Show is great. Its best days are behind it, but it's still very funny and brilliant at its best. Just that picture alone makes me laugh.

Yeah, like a few of the programmes on the list it's there on the basis of it was so good at its best it'd be a shame not to include it.

Disgree here, the second season was great, but generally I think the later seasons were much stronger.

Created by: Graham Linehan, Arthur Matthews

One of the funniest sitcoms ever, and there's only two or three that I prefer to it. Every one of the main performances is perfectly pitched, and the writing is rarely below top notch. It is probably the program I've watched the most, and I still laugh at it every time. Indeed, watching A Christmassy Ted is one of my few Christmas traditions.

Charlie Brooker's best contribution to television. It's an anthology series which in the tradition of The Twilight Zone uses science fiction to shine a light on modern day concerns. It also has one of the best casting directors on TV, with many of the stars being very talented actors on the cusp of stardom.

Black Mirror is very good, but in the tradition of anthology shows, some episodes are weaker.

Ted is amazing. When I think of how good shows like Ted, Hippies, Black Books, etc were, it just makes me disappointed that I find so much of The I.T. Crowd to be so lazy. Especially the last episode and the series before that.
