Anybody else watch this show?

I absolutely love it. Tony Shalhoub is amazing in it.

I have season 1 and 2 on DVD and have seen a few epsiodes of season 3 with Traylor Howard. Anyway just realised they show it on BBC 1 during the day now and it used to be on Sunday's I think.

Any other Monk fans out there?

I started watching Monk ages ago, back when the BBC treated it so badly in the schedules, moving it from one timeslot to another and sometimes not showing an episode for weeks. I'm glad its finally got a fixed slot, even if its just being used to challenge Poirot on ITV. I find Monk much more interesting in 45 mins than all those boring detective shows that last 2 hours; the story never feels rushed and there's some great comedy moments each episode. My favourite episode was the one where Monk had to prove the innocence of a monkey accused of killing its owner  Another great one is when he goes to New York and his OCD goes into over-drive! Overall I think its the best detective show in years and long may it last!

I don't think I have a favourite episode but I loved the episode starring Jason Alexander as the, well, anti-Monk. Also really liked the episodes with his brother. I started watching a while a go too. I bought Season 1 on DVD as a blind buy and I've been hooked ever since. I love all the characters but I think Lt. Randall Disher is one of my favourite (except for Monk that is!)

They've scheduled it in the Saga Holiday Zone as an expression of the cared for doddery yet socially useful 'eccentric' which must be reassuring to watch I should imagine.

One of my friends, who's a big fan, got me into it. She "forced" me to watch an episode and I have to say I really like it. I haven't seen all episodes yet but I've seen all of season 1 and a few episodes of season 2. Tony Shalhoub is really good and is totally convincing acting out Monk's fears.

I own series 1 and 2, but haven't actually seen them since they were first shown on BBC. A great show, and Monk is a superb character. I must watch my boxsets so I can get around to buying series 3.

I'm a big Monk fan. I caught it by accident on Hallmark once and have been watching it since. I own season 1 (R1) and hope to get my hands on the rest very soon. Tony Shalhoub is amazing as Monk and he deserves to win an Emmy every year for the role.

Yep. Great show. Tony Shalhoub is a vastly underrated actor.

He was absolutely superb in 'Big Night' with Stanley Tucci, and was also great in 'The Seige' with Denzel Washington and Annette Bening.

Superb show. How can you not love Tony Shaloub?
Maybe most of you know this, but the Captain is the same guy who played Buffalo Bill in the Silence of the Lambs.

I love Monk, it's one of the best detective shows ever, found it on bbc 2 a few years ago then they kept on changing the times. I'm so gald it came out on dvd, series four is out next month, which I haven't seen any of.. All of the characters are wonderful, Tony Shalhoub as Monk of course is my favouite, but Bitty Schram as Sharona Fleming was just great.
