Personally, I'm very excited about this. Obviously Christian Bale is fantastic as Wayne/Batman in the Nolan trilogy, but I don't see a problem in someone else taking the role for this film, it should be someone different given it is seperate from the Dark Knight Trilogy. Jon Hamm would be my suggestion for the Caped Crusader.

...but I wish it was Nolan directing. The last third of Man of Steel was such a disappointment following its opening two acts. Here's hoping that Snyder manages to replicate that level of quality, and not two hours plus of buildings noisily falling over.

If this is going to be based on The Dark Knight Returns then let's have an older Batman, I say bring back Michael Keaton!

Be interesting to see how they tackle the disparity in strength of the two characters if they are to fight each other.

Casting wise it has to be Jim Caviezelas Batman, he would be perfect.

While I am as excited as anyone about the possibility of it happening and of it being good, there's one problem no-one's talking about - this film is a sign of the End Days, and I for one will be keeping a very close eye on cancer treatments over the next 2 years...

I feel like it's going to be difficult making Batman and Superman work together on screen, and to be honest I'm not sure Snyder has what it takes to pull it off, though I'm not sure who would, or if it should be done at all.

Jon Hamm would be a great Bruce Wayne/Batman. Older than Superman, cool and ruthless. He'd be a great flirt with Lois as well.

Whats this another exciting movie thats never been made??!! phhh dear god Batman only just finished it's trilogy and might I add was amazing and they're already talking about more and more and more and more an more and more!!!! get the point this franchise can no longer compete with the Tim Burton classics and Chris's Brilliance.

Adding Superman which was an average film into the mix and without Bale as BM seems like quite possibly the stupidest film idea I've ever heard. Boring and unoriginal as per usual! Bravo! They have already featured together anyway here!

In every fight, despite getting the tar kicked out of him, Batman has always won.
Bruce and Clark have a really interesting relationship as well. There is total love and respect between them, but they are both hyper aware of how different they are, especially ethics wise.
Bruce is not afraid to cheat.

At last Michael Keaton can complete the circle and return to Batman as an old Joker. Go on Warner Bros!

Ok so Ive not read the comic's, but to be honest this sounds like a dumb idea. In my opinion MoS wasnt that great and I dont see Batman fitting into that universe. Superman would off Batman in a second, completely stupid concept...!!

This must be the bit where everyone starts clamouring for Clint Eastwood as an old Bruce Wayne, ha ha.

Super-excited but cut Snyder! As fantastic as he is with action scenes and special effects, he's just ridiculous with characterisation - and that's what the superhero genre really needs. First half of MoS was superb, but as soon as Clark becomes Jesus mk II, it went so downhill.

Fat chance of cutting Snyder with his wife producing. Unless he does a Kristen Stewart maybe...

Bale will be back as Batman - he'd be a fool to turn down Superman & Batman's first big screen crossover.

I cannot believe they are gonna balls up all the hard work done on the 2 franchises. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy was amazing and whilst the Man of Steel didn't quite hit ALL the points, it was almost there and a great reboot.
Why mess all that up with the pairing of two completely separate franchises? The fan boys will love it, the fans of either will hate it.
I am normally positive, but this to me smacks of failure waiting to happen. Look at the Lone Ranger and John Carter as two examples.....
