Apart from "Lox Stock...", that's not a movie pun. It's a saying.

...that these places affectionately reference films, yet when The Saul Zaentz Company doesn't want pubs using LOTR references it's bad!

I saw a travelling chip van once. It was called the Star Chip Enterprise.

Genius.

I once heard of an Indian restaurant called 'Balti Towers'. Whilst I realise it's not a film reference it's a cracker & always makes me chuckle!

Some nice stuff, some may be in line for lawsuits. We also have a Thai Tanic in Sydney and is not necessarily based on the movie but the actual ship. Similarly Lox Stock... - it has nothing to do with the Ritchie movie. Aside from these there's a coffee table book here...

There is indeed a lovely takeaway/noodle bar in Belfast called Thai-Tanic. The picture you have up however is somewhere completely different
