Now there have been a lot of reboot's in my mind have been warranted in recent years (Maybe not improved upon all the time but making the films more relevant to this generation ) but this is just getting f****** ridiculous now.

That goes for you too, Robocop!

Ah the old 'new trilogy' routine.

How about they focus on ONE good film, then we'll talk about trilogies.

Yeah what happened to the last new trilogy they wanted to make? I though Salvation was a good enough film to build upon and did okay at the box office?

Another bastard reboot! Surely a franchise based around time travel is one that never needs a "reboot"? Lazy lazy Hollywood.

Didn't Rian Johnson already blow any possible reboot out of the water? Looper had the same basic premise, but still managed to feel like the freshest sci-fi in decades.

... I've absolutely had enough of hundreds of millions of dollars being used to make uninmaginative reboot/remake crap. Maybe if we all stop watching it they'll finally stop making it. We're in control, not them. It's our money being spent, after all.

The only way they can do a trilogy is that the first one does well so I think paramount are confident,BUT ,I keep repeating this in other forums in the past,go back to the original look of the terminator, forget the flattop, the style arnie had it when he first arrived, that look was menacing .arnie could come back but maybe have different looking terminators but with his voice in all of them.heres hoping

Oh dear god you have got to be kidding me. The first two Terminators were some of my favorite all time Sci-Fi's growing up. Still when I watch them to this day they are still cracking films with great characters and a brilliantly executed idea.

They made the third film which was pretty average... should have had Ed Furlong back for that... big mistake... then they make Salvation which again had some OK moments but never came close to repeating the chemistry of the first two movies. Not by a long way!

If I'm honest I don't consider them anything to do with the original two classics!

To hear they're going to reboot these from scratch... is that right ? so not go forward to the future actually start again? That disgusts me more than anything I can say... it would be like remaking Bladerunner, Alien, Star Wars (original) it would be preposterous.

I will not be going to see these at the cinemas ever cos even if they do an OK job which they probably will they will never EVER be any where near as good as the originals. Leave it alone you barbaric pea brained morons. Try coming up with an idea... use your imagination and create a new Sci-Fi you pathetic excuse for screen writers. God I hate Hollywood and it's plastic polished turd for brains!

I honestly don't even think Cameron would bother touching this again if he had the chance! Ridley had a go with Prometheus and look how the turned out... complete and utter monumental letdown! LEAVE IT ALONE!

Man, I wish they'd continued on with the plot set out in the fourth movie. Obviously it wasn't as good as the first two but I enjoyed it and would have liked to see the war between the robots and humans and how John Connor eventually defeats them. There's no point in starting from scratch and covering the same territory again. The first two can't be bettered so why not focus on the rest of the story that we haven't seen yet?

Reboot one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time? Bring back its original star who has been clinging to the original movies coattails for nearly 30 years? Planning a trilogy without even having a first "killer movie" ready for release?

A blueprint for everything that can be so wrong with modern cinema

I hope its a flop so Hollywood can actually learn that the world is sick of reboots. There is plenty of originality waiting to be watched made by upcoming filmmakers.
I would watch it if its a continuation from Salvation.
