What is it with all this re-imagining of Marvel characters?! Marvel has always had some brilliant Black characters, so why don't we see films of them? I did like the Nick Fury re-imagining, but did hanker after the old Silver Age white Nick Fury I used to read.
So does this mean that Sue Storm will also be black?! They are siblings, after all. Actually, an all black Fantastic Four would be a really interesting re-imagining, I think.
Anyway, I'm quite sure no one would put forward a film pitch with a white Black Panther, or a white Luke Cage, Hero for Hire, so what's with these re-imaginings?!
Let's have a brilliant Black Panther film, a brilliant Luke Cage film; let's have Marvel characters as originally conceived; and let's not have any more re-imaginings! As a great man once said, " 'Nuff said!"

Well I guess it's real easy to feel like that when you're white and 99% of original superheroes are white, lol. Try employing a little empathy.

Not entirely sure what is meant by 'employing a bit of empathy'? I'm guessing you ignored my comment about the Black Panther and Luke Cage, Hero for Hire then?! Two of my favourite Marvel characters, by the way. Marvel have always had great characters, regardless of colour or background. I grew up reading the Silver Age comics of the 60's and 70's, where Marvel led the way with good black characters.

To cast a black actor would be fine if it didn't then impact on other characters (Sue Storm?). Blind casting is important but this character is imbeded as a white 17 year old, blond haired boy racer witha very blond sister. They may as well just invent another bunch of superherores because this would not be the FF as published over the last 50 years or so. It worked with Nick Fury because people who were in the know were primed for it by the Ultimate comics and everyone else probably didn't have a clue who Nick Fury is anyway.
