I don't know about you guys but I get annoyed whenever people gasp for never seeing a film, which is considered a classic or must see.

There are some I need to watch at some point, which I will need to get around to shortly. I believe that even the biggest film buffs out there have not seen every must see film. I would agree with gasping if someone never watched The Matrix, as it was truly incredible and perhaps the first film to even start the slow motion effects.

If there are any classics or must see's that you never watched (but you want to see them), then feel free to post below.

Here are mine:
1) Akira
2) The Shawshank Redemption
3) Interview With the Vampire
4) Mad Max
5) Mad Max 2
6) Requiem For a Dream
7) Memento
8) Enter the Dragon

That is all I can think of for now.

The only one on your list I havent seen is Requiem For a Dream,of which it is now added to my 'to see list'.
I cant think of other classics I haven't seen at the moment.

I've been making an effort this year to watch movies I may have missed forst time around for whatever reason. For example, I watched Psycho for the first time yesterday, and today I shall be watching The Birds....

I've seen most of 'The Classics' courtesy of TCM. I haven't seen, and would like to catch up with the following at some point though:

Les Diaboliques
Manhattan
The Bicycle Thief

Being a huge sci-fi fan I'm ashamed to say I've never seen 2001 or either version of Solaris [hangs head in shame]
I've also never seen Gone With The Wind, Ben Hur, Spartacus, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, 12 Angry Men, Seven Samurai, Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King (the first two were so dull I couldn't bring myself to watch the finale - or The Hobbit for that matter), Once Upon A Time In The West, It's A Wonderful Life, Dr Strangelove, Manhattan, Annie Hall...or White Chicks

I have however, seen an abundance of low budget splatter movies from the 80s....
