All the articles I've read say that Oblivion was shot on the Sony CineAlta F65. It records a 4K image to a Super 35mm CMOS sensor, but the F65 sensor doubles the horizontal pixles to make it close to 8K. 4K off an 8K sensor makes the image a lot sharper so the rushes coming out of the F65 are great for IMAX. Does Empire know something I don't or do they mean that the digital image from the Sony is an equivalent in resolution to 75mm? My nerd gland will remain inflamed until I know.
