It's nice to go back to only having heard of my nom before .

I have listened to some Kanye West, and I'm not a huge fan but maybe it's better in album form, and what I've heard of Modest Mouse has been good. Looking forward to the rest.

 Modest Mouse, Joanna Newsom and Kanye are all obviously incredible, and I think it's probably between Kanye and Modest Mouse for the win because some incredibly foolish people dislike the divine Joanna. And my fave of Kanye's songs is on Late Registration, so excellent choice. Quite a few I haven't heard other than those though, looking forward to it.

 Joanna Newsom is great but I haven't heard The Milk-Eyed Mender.

Late Registration is amazing obviously, and it's Kanye in his prime.

I think I've heard some KMD not sure.

Modest Mouse are great and so is Good News..

Robyn! I've never listened to Body Talk in full but I love the tracks of hers I've heard.

Haven't even heard of the other noms but I'm intrigued nonetheless

 Joanna Newsom is someone I've been meaning to listen to more after hearing the odd song from her.

Late Registration is a superb LP and was made before Kanye turned into an insufferable twat.

I think Porcupine Tree was on the mix CD Rebel sent me.

The rest I'm completely unfamiliar with.

 Joanna Newsom is always amazing, I love that album but I know that it is the one that seems to divide people the most.

Kanye, I haven't heard that album, but I do like some Kanye

KMD - My first thought was "Mother Fucker" as I have been considering nominating Black Bastards for a while now. . KMD are great though

Modest Mouse, a good album, but not my favourite of theirs

I've never listened to any Porcupine Tree but I know they sell pretty well so I am looking forward to seeing why

Robyn I meant to check out when these albums came out but never got around to

WHY? I only have one of their albums and it isn't this one, so again, looking forward to it

Kanye - already stated that I feel Kanye should win in a walk.

Arthur Russell - meh.

Modest Mouse - ugh.

Joanna Newsom - Liked what I've heard, but I haven't heard much. Looking forward to this.

KMD - Intrigued by this one. Never heard of them before.

Porcupine Tree - Have no idea what I'm getting into with this one.

Robyn - Dancing On My Own was one of my favorite songs of 2010. Looking forward to this rest of the album.

 Listened to a few albums so far (currently listening to Mr. Hood as speak)

Thoughts:

Alopecia - There were a few tracks I really liked (Vowels Pt. 2) but the rest was a bit patchy. Still good though.

Milk Eyed Mender - Loved it. Such relaxing music from such a beautiful soul.

Good News For People Who Love Bad News - I thought I'd heard this album before but I must have confused it with a different Modest Mouse album. Some excellent tracks on here (Float On is a fucking brilliant song), this could be a big contender.

Edit: This could prove me as being an idiot but I just realised MF Doom was in KMD. I loooooooove me some MF Doom.

 With the deadline fast approaching and me still needing to listen to 3 of the albums I am going to say now that I might need a couple of days extension, just until the end of the month should be sufficient because it gives me two days off work to actively listen to them. If that's okay?

 Quite a big change to my contracted hours at work coming up. Whatever free time I have I want to spend on the regular hall of fame.

What about listening to the albums? I don't fancy buying a bunch of them and youtube's not always a guarantee.

Well I know that when I nominate an album I always try to pick one that's on spotify, but I think in the past if an album hasn't been readily available online then the person nominating it can sort something out via dropbox or something so that the others can listen to it.

 Grooveshark is also a good bet, it's free and you don't have to sign up or dowload any program to listen to albums on it - all this round's noms are on there with the exception of the Arthur Russell, which is on YouTube in full.

I am currently listening to The Incident via the link from above, so I suspect it is a licensing thing unfortunately.
