[SPOILERS AHEAD] Looking at the shots of the injuries to Tony's face gives some interesting clues to the sequence of events. Tony clearly sustains three different injuries at different times. First, he injures his lip. That injury is seen as early as the scene in the observatory with the armour on the ground and in the press mob as he leaves the hospital. Second, he injures his nose. This is seen gushing blood in the scene where the mansion is attacked, the scene where he collapses in the snow and also where Tony is in plain clothes and visiting the memorial at the site of the Mandarin's attack. Finally, he injures his cheek and this injury can be seen in the scene with partial armour and the uzi, as well as in the attack on air force one and in the scene at the docks. My guess is that Deckard is right. I suspect that the scenes we have seen where Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan is lying in a bloodied mess come in the first stage and it is he who Tony is talking about when he calls for revenge at the hospital press mob. I also think that when Tony (in the Mk VIII armour) gets pulled to the bottom of the ocean, he goes into hiding and engages in stealth warfare until he finds the Mandarin or Killian in their secret headquarters. Then we have the escape with the uzi, saving air force one and a showdown at the docks. By the way. Did anyone else see the shot where the fist of the Mk VIII armour punches through the side of air force one in an earlier trailer? There is a great moment in this trailer at 1:50 where Iron Man's arm is still half way through the frame of AF1 and he shoots down someone on board with his repulsor beam.
