#3 is only so if you've been watching US speed - it just started in the UK for the very first time this week

Maybe it just sounds really familiar. Been away on hols this last week, so have no idea what it could be.

If you still mean US Easy No.7 it ran 1998-2006. Was bigger in US than UK, but was fairly popular here. Want more clues?

Just one clue...name one actor that had a primary role on the show...or would that be too big of a hint?

One lead is currently in a US show based round staging a musical. Another has just been in a Sherlocky knock-off as a mentally disturbed scientist who solved criminal cases.

On U.S. Easy, I am completely stumped on #7! It sounds so familiar, it's driving me insane!!

Any clues at all would be of great help! Thanks!

Trust me, you think about it long enough, you'll guess this smash. Just a matter of perception.

I've listened to that little clip about a 100x and I wrack my brain but I still can't get it. It's beginning to drive me crazy! Just give me one tiny clue, please!! lol Give the decade it was released in at least!!

Sorry, I was obviously far too subtle. Let me try that again just in case you're still struggling.

Clues for UK Hard 7, 13 and 14 please.

And US Hard 7 and 14 too. Years of broadcast, what UK channel they were shown on or the initials of the show.

I ended up googling the lyrics to US Hard 9 to discover... a show I'd never seen or heard of.

A mention of this forum or where to go for the answers on the page of the quiz might have encouraged more traffic to this forum - I nearly abandoned the page none the wiser.

I think that might be an idea - maybe one to ask Ali if he still does the quizzes. A note at the top to say if you're stuck check to see if there is a thread in here and, if not, why not start one?

Stuck on US 7 myself, but 14 was shown on FX (Fox) over here and it's still running. S9 is due this year. Since S2 it has a well-recognised Hollywood actor in the cast.

Whoops - I did have that (well, not me, my husband got it). But as we can't save them when we log out I'd completely forgotten when I went back in again!

THank you - that was driving me nuts..

Being able to save the page to come back to would be quite a useful function.

I'm stuck on the same UK ones but can help with the US ones:

US Hard 3 (as mentioned earlier in the thread) only just started showing in the UK - on BBC4, Wednesdays. It stars one of the co-hosts of the recent Golden Globe Awards.

US Hard 10 shares it's name with a Hip Hop act. It ran three seasons but a new series is now in the pipeline.

US Hard 12 ran from the early 70s to the early 80s - famously lasting longer than the war during which it was set.

US Hard 14 there are clues earlier in the thread for. I'd never seen it so didn't recognise the theme - I ended up googling FX sitcoms and found the answer that way.

Thanks for that. I only need UK Hard 13 now, although I'm still sulking unattractively about some of the choices.

Now do one with cop/detective show themes.

Hi and welcome!

Early to mid 70’s sitcom sequel. One of the main actors was h.a.p.p.y

Now any chance of a clue to UK hard 13!!?

Nope, need another clue for 15. :(

13 I got instanty. A clue? It's an often overlooked show, but bridges the gap to a similar BBC2 programme that followed 4 years later, with the 2 main characters sharing the same names.

A flaming question mark - that's why I had problems getting #15 to work!

Thanks for that - got the lot now. Weird - if they'd used the opening theme to that show I would have got it straight away but the end theme wasn't as familiar to me - I recognised it but couldn't place what from. Should have known really. We were big fans in our house but I guess all involved found following up The Young Ones was a tricky proposition, if that's more help to ripperman.

If anyone's still in doubt about 15, it was a 70s sitcom by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, a sequel of sorts to a 60s sitcom they also wrote. Ignore the bit of the intro tune and focus on the fragment of the vocalist launching into "Oh...". And yes, remember to put a question mark at the end - that got me at first too.

Thanks guys. All complete now. Finally got 13, phew! Don't know how I missed it considering the answer to 12! Then again I wasn't as big a fan of it as I was their other two shows.
