With the release of Vinyl due 15th March 2013 I still have not yet seen any information online or in the mag regarding this British film.Vinyl is a British Comedy film starring Phil Daniels and Keith Allen directed by Sara Sugarman and produced by the producers of The Shrek movies. It has a British cast and includes a few cameos from pop and rock stars from the past.(Steve Diggle, Mike Peters, Jynine James and Tim Sanders. It is loosley based on the true story of Mike Peters and The Alarm and the way they were able to fool the music industry. With a strong soundtrack written and performed by Mike Peters and Phil Daniels the film is a journey into ageism in the music industry.

The other post has been removed as it makes this look a little too much like advertising. Which would obviously be fed through official channels at Empire

Sounds bloody awful, I like both the leads but they are television actors who should be used in supporting parts when it comes to films.

Actually its very funny. It also has newcomer Jamie Blackley (Snow white and the Huntsman) and Perry Benson from this is England. It has won loads of awards at various film festivals and has recieved rave reviews from preview showings in the U.S. I was fortunate to attend a preview showing in Prestatyn (near to where it was partially filmed) and can't wait to see it again. It is a shame it seems to be getting passed over by the Cinema press, it really is a good film.

I also have been looking forward to this film. I am signed to The Alarm Blogs and get all the info. We have all noticed how little info there is in the media for this film which is a shame. Hopefully when it comes out more will support it.

Empire doesn't review all cinema releases. Go figure.

Full page review in the sun newspaper today, review in the daily star , review in the Daily Express but nothing yet in Empire. I would have thought a film review site and film specialist magazine would be best placed to comment and not leave it to the National newspapers. I have been a fan of Phil Daniels for ages and have purchased Empire for best part of five years why still silence when it comes to a British film that is attracting award after award and positive reviews from tabloid papers.
