Anchorman is one of my favorite comedies ever, and I'm really looking forward to this, especially with the addition of Kristen Wiig. However Empire's sheer excitement about this movie is always weird to me, seeing as they gave the first one three stars, called it "not Ferrell's finest creation," and said it had "the hit-and-miss quality of an extended Saturday Night Live sketch." So it's strange to see them now saying stuff like "Oh, WE'VE been waiting for it for YEARS," and "we're pinching ourselves now that it's coming true." Seems like a bit of a case of jumping on the bandwagon once it turned out that everyone else loved it...

Surely you do realize that there is more than one writer at Empire don't you? The different writers can have different opinions because they are not yet a hive mind.
